From Australia to Japan — A Dream Becomes Reality
This project began with a request from Australia.
After countless hours of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and hard work by our entire team, the car was finally complete.
And then the day we had all been waiting for arrived.
The owner, Alex, came all the way to our small workshop in Japan to finally meet his GT-R.
Of course, before showing him the real car, we had to have a little fun.
We first showed him another car that was still under construction and pretended it was his. 😂
Then came the real moment.
The moment Alex saw his completed car for the first time.
I will never forget the expression on his face.
That smile made everything worthwhile.
At that moment, I genuinely felt:
I’m so glad we created the CARBON-R.
Building a car like this is never easy.
Our craftsmen put an enormous amount of time, skill, and passion into every detail.
But seeing Alex’s reaction reminded all of us why we do what we do.
The exhaustion disappears.
What remains is a feeling of pride and fulfillment that money simply cannot buy.
We gathered around Alex and took a photograph together with the team.
Looking at that photograph, I realized again how fortunate we are to have a job that allows us to be part of someone else’s dream.
When we first began developing the CARBON-R, I could never have imagined moments like this.
Garage Active is a small company located in a countryside town in Japan.
Yet someone from thousands of kilometers away in Australia trusted us with his GT-R and asked our craftsmen to build his dream car.
For that trust, I am truly grateful.
And just look at Alex’s smile. 😂
That is the smile of a man whose dream has become reality.
GT-R Has No Borders
That evening, everyone got together for dinner.
Japanese. Australian.
Different countries, different languages, different cultures.
But when you truly love cars, none of that matters.
GT-R has no borders.
Cars have given us friendships and experiences that we could never have imagined.
We shared an unforgettable evening with an amazing group of people.
Thank you, Alex.
Thank you to everyone who traveled from Australia.
And to our Garage Active craftsmen and staff—thank you for all your hard work.
The Australian Dream Continues — Next Stop: FUELFEST JAPAN
But Alex’s story in Japan isn’t finished yet.
There was one more dream we wanted to make happen.
FUELFEST JAPAN.
At the last minute, we decided to exhibit his newly completed CARBON-R at FUELFEST JAPAN.
So tomorrow, we load up two cars and hit the road.
Alex’s CARBON-R will be displayed at the NITTO Tire booth.
