Don’t tell them everything will work out. Don’t tell them give it time. Don’t tell them that they need to appease the perpetrator. Be there for them, listen to them and if they just need to vent, let them do that. But DO NOT ignore the abuse. Help the victim become stronger. Help them know what is happening is wrong. Help them find the right organisations for assistance.
