#Repost @fighttoxicmasculinity (@get_repost) ・・・ When I started talking about how I was raised as a boy, I started to realize how messed up it was. Being told boys/men don’t cry, men shouldn’t be affectionate with other men, men should be violent and men should want sex above all else never sat well with me and especially not since I started saying them out loud. . . . I found that with many males that I know that when we describe being raised in a toxic way, it always seems to hurt us and that something inside of us tells us it’s messed up. . . . We deserve better. We deserve to treat ourselves as human. We deserve to not have anyone (including ourselves) treat us in a fucked up way. ❤️
