Wrestling started out at Greece olympics, where people across the
land came together to compete in different sports. That is why wrestling
is known as one of the oldest sports in this world. Wrestling was
really simple back then and very brutal, the rules started to devlop in
the middle ages.
{{The style of wrestling has changed a lot since
it first started but the main concept remain the same. Nowadays there
are three wrestling types.|
Over time, wrestling has changed into
less violent version compared with the wrestling which were in Greece.
My favorite style is Greco-Roman wrestling, but there are also Collage
and Freestyle which are pretty entertaining too. I have a friend who is
doing wrestling since he was a little kid, guy is internationally known
in Greco-Roman wrestling. The Freestyle and Folk wrestling are popular
in U.S. Wrestling is a dangerous sport and is very tehnique rich.}}
Let's
begin with Greco-Roman. Main thing you should know about this wrestling
type is that legs are completly left out in relation to attack.
Extremely important is to determine what wrestlers aren't allowed to
touch the legs as well. Greco-Roman wrestling is mostly throws.
Freestyle
has its name as a result of "free" rule set. The restrictions in
freestyle are very limited. There a lot about Freestyle wrestling what
we should learn, one thing is the point system, which may look random.
Best examples are throws which are 2-5 points, these can make a big
difference.
Maybe you have seen wrestling from TV and how fast
the Pins are happening there! Keep in mind, if you decide to role across
your back, you might end up pinning yourself. Sometimes it might be a
matter of seconds when getting pinned. So what to do when you need to
get the opponent to turn? Simple! Lock your hands! When you're on the
bottom, then you basically just want to lie still until the ref stands
you both up.
The most popular in U.S.A are the high school
wrestling and also Pro wrestling. High School wrestling a.k.a
Folk/Collage wrestling. It was once more defensive and slow style, now
it a lot more different. In Folk style wrestling trainings, children are
taught to fight not let go no matter what.
Freestyle and folk
style wrestling are very similar. I have to say that you're wrong, these
styles are different. For example, throws aren't beneficial in High
School wrestling but putting your opponent down will get you 2 points.
