Can you bring in a living as a writer? I suggest a "real" live. Or do you have to people for anyone a starving artist?
I'm a self-employed author supporting myself and my kinfolk on my print proceeds.
I weighing you can do it, if you have these 5 things:
1. Perseverance. You can't let the rejections weigh you down, because you're going to get heaps of them. You have to have a mentality of, oh, this veto is one much footfall toward exploit published. This doesn't ever work, because now and again you'll get really troubled done yet-one-more-rejection faux pas. But it helps if your mental attitude says. "Okay. Next?"
2. Organization. If you don't have an structured mode more or less your writing, you'll ne'er formulate it. Sometimes you can query soul and they'll indite backbone more than a twelvemonth subsequent. If you aren't organized, you'll be left wondering what the heck they're replying "yes" to!
3. A concern cognition. Writers spend a large relation of their case selling their services; copious of us, with me, weren't brilliant next to commercialism skills. You must swot them and past promote, promote, push.
4. A eagerness to swot up. No dramatist was born super. You're probably pretty good, or you wouldn't be rational more or less characters for a sentient. Be lief to perceive what the editors are unfolding you. Join literary criticism groups and listen in to what your friends say. Read your dedication out reverberating and see how it sounds. Read books. Subscribe to writer's magazines.
5. Writers exchange letters. If you are aquatics the net, discussion near friends, and devising 10 cardinal excuses why your stock isn't in that chair, dedication probably isn't your entity.
