1945年8月6日に投下された原爆で、20万を超える人が亡くなっています。
しかし、この爆弾が投下されるに至ったのは、軍国主義だった日本がアジア諸国への侵略戦争やアメリカとの戦争を行った結果です。歴史を学び、再び戦争を起こさないよう、重要な時期に来ていると思います。

Hiroshima is the city, the first ever attacked by a nuclear weapon.
It was at 8:15AM on August 6 in 1945.
Ninety percent of people who were within one kilo-meter from the hypocenter of the blast died within a week after the atomic bombing. Approximately 200,000 people died within a year. Almost all victims were citizens, not military soldiers.
If you get off a street car from Hiroshima station at "Genbaku Dome Mae" station, you will see the Atomic Bomb Dome, just in front of you.
The Atomic Bomb Dome was the Hiroshima Prefectural Commercial Exhibition Hall, originally.
The Hiroshima Prefectural Commercial Exhibition Hall was not completely destroyed by the atomic bombing. Iron flameworks and walls remained, and they kept the shape of the dome. After the war, these dramatic remains came to be known as the Atomic Bomb Dome.
Now, many tourists including foreign people visit the Atomic Bomb Dome.
At night, the dome is illuminated and is very impressive.
More than seventy years have passed after the atomic bombing, it is very peaceful scenery to see that many tourists walk in front of the dome under sunshine.
The important thing is that we, as human being, should learn what happened in the past and should not repeat such stupid things nor destructive damages by any nuclear weapons.
The Atomic Bomb Dome is designated as a world heritage.
