The page of "Matsusaka Castle"as "Your Destination in Japan" now has been uploaded:
Matsusaka Castle is located in Matsusaka city, the middle part of Mie Prefecture.
The castle was built by GAMO Ujisato in 1588.
GOMO Ujisato was a retainer of TOYOTOMI Hideyoshi.
The middle and southern part of Mie areas were belong to Kishu Domain, which capital was Wakayama.
Matsusaka castle was a branch castle of Wakayama Castle.
Stone walls with more than ten meters high surround the castle.
"Ninomaru" bailey is located on the top of stone walls.
I think Matsusaka Castle is a castle of stone walls.
You will also see beautiful structures of stone walls.
To the south of the main bailey of Masaka Castle, former residents of MOTOORI Yorinaga is located.
MOTOORI Yorinaga (1730 to 1801 in the Edo Age) was well-known as he studied "Kojiki".

松坂城は、三重県にありますが、
江戸時代は紀州藩で和歌山城の支城でした。
当時の建物は残っていませんが、松坂城の
石垣は立派で、石垣のお城と思います。
