今朝の高野山はなんと....
It was 53.3°F this morning.
奥の院から戻ると
ガスファンヒーターの
ほこりを掃除し、
As soon as returning
from Oku-no-in,
I cleaned the heater,
and
ハワイではしたことの
なかった”衣替え”を
開始しました。
I removed all my summer
clothes and put the winter
outfits in my closet.
途中で、
今日はお家賃の支払い日で
あることを思い出し、
急いで郵便局へ....
All of sudden, I remembered
that I had to pay my rent
today, so I headed to
the post office.
郵便局からの帰り、
先日事件に巻き込まれた
心星のマスターに
会いに行きました。
On my way back,
I decided to see
the master at Shinsei,
who was involved with
a theft case the other day.
のどかで、平穏な高野山でも
色々と”事件”はあるものです。
We experience various
happenings in this peaceful
Koyasan.
久しぶりにマスターの
美味しいカップチーノを
いただきました！
I truly enjoyed
his delicious cappuccino!
“これわたし？”
Is this me?
何度もお尋ねしようと
思いながら
真実を受け止める
心の準備もありませんでしたし、
I attempted to ask him, but
I was afraid of finding the truth,
and
楽しい会話の中で、
タイミングを逃しました。
also I didn’t have a chance
because I had fun chatting
with him.
ハニートーストか
ホット小豆サンドか
一瞬悩み、
It was hard to decide
if I should’ve ordered
Honey Toast or
Hot Sweet Beans Sandwich,
but
ピザトースト。
I actually chose to eat
Pizza Toast.
心星は
何時来ても
最高の”高野山一”の
コーヒーがいただけ、
You can always have
the best coffee in Koyasan
at Shinsei, and
何を食べても美味しいです。
whatever you order,
its quality of food is
also superb.
マスターが
ひとつひとつ
丁寧に真心を込めて
作っているのが
分かります。
It is obvious that
the master makes
each item
wholeheartedly.
お天気が良いので、
町を一周して帰ることに
しました。
Because the weather was
so nice, I decided to
walk around the town
before going home.
感じます。
Surely, autumn has
been here at Jyabaramichi.
私はここを歩くたびに
ホノルルマラソンの
ラスト2kmから
カピオラニ公園に入り
ゴールまでの一直線を
思い出します。
Every time I walk here,
this reminded me of
the last 2km to the goal
of Honolulu Marathon.
冬支度と
初秋を楽しんでいるうちに
今日も一日が終わります。
Just preparing for the winter
and enjoying the beginning
of autumn, my day is almost
over.
