四国遍路の大先輩であるI氏が
お四国入りされました。
My friend, Mr. I, has just arrived
in Shikoku for pilgrimage today.
昨夜東京から車と一緒に
フェリーに乗られ、
He rode a ferry from Tokyo
last night,
13時に徳島港に着くと、
arrived in Tokushima
at 1:00 p.m. and
そのまま、
88番大窪寺に向かわれ
ました。
drove off to the temple #88,
Okubo-ji.
今年は閏年なので
逆打ちに臨まれます。
Because this year is
a leap year, going backwards
from #88 is believed to receive
more blessings.
コロナがなければ、
今春一緒に逆打ちを
する予定でした。
If there was no coronavirus,
I was planning to do
pilgrimage with him in spring.
高野山への引越しと、
コロナ騒ぎで、
I was so preoccupied
with moving and
the Covid-19,
お遍路から心が
離れていましたが、
I didn’t have a chance
to think about the Shikoku
pilgrimage, however,
I氏のお四国入りとともに、
as soon as I heard from him,
私のお遍路熱も
上がってまいりました。
it flared up my passion
for the pilgrimage.
「今、大窪寺を打ったよ。」
I’ve just finished the #88.
I氏からお電話を
いただきました。
I received a call from Mr. I.
88番大窪寺の境内が
目に浮かびます。
I can imagine the whole area
of the temple #88.
しばらくは、
I氏からの報告をききながら、
While listening to his daily
report from Shikoku,
遠隔遍路が
楽しめそうです。
I’m sure I will also enjoy
the pilgrimage.
I氏手作りの桑の実酒で
彼の健闘を祈ります。
I wish him the best
with his mulberry wine.
