Uniswap is functioning on the Automated Market Maker (AMM) model. This trading concept does not depend on order books. It does not bring buyers and sellers together; instead, the Uniswap clone uses liquidity pools for trading purposes.

Liquidity Pools

A liquidity pool is a smart contract that holds pairs of tokens. For instance, an ETH/USDC liquidity pool has reserves of both Ethereum (ETH) and USD Coin (USDC). Those who provide liquidity (LPs) deposit the same amount of each token making up the pair into these pools, receiving in return liquidity tokens indicating their part in the pool.
流動性プールは、トークンのペアを保持するスマート契約です。たとえば、ETH/USDC 流動性プールには、イーサリアム(ETH) と USD コイン (USDC) の両方の準備金があります。流動性を提供する者 (LP) は、ペアを構成する各トークンを同じ量これらのプールに預け、代わりにプール内での自分の役割を示す流動性トークンを受け取ります。
