Membrane is a Cosmos-based collateral, leverage, and borrowing engine that prioritizes composability and inter-protocol interoperability.

Users can create Collateral Tokens ($CDT) by depositing collateral tokens into Membrane’s CDP mechanism. The returned tokens may then be used to retrieve the original collateral. In this way, the system is comparable to a “Line of Credit,” in which users can deposit collateral in exchange for a line of credit. This allows for a great deal of flexibility in token locations that would otherwise be fixed, enabling unique functionality for the $CDT tokens.
