However, while cleaning out a dilapidated storehouse on our property with my husband, we found nearly everything inside a large box:
the three court ladies, the five musicians, the three retainer dolls and their pedestals, the Hina dolls' wedding trousseau including tea utensils, a dressing table, a sewing box set, a costume chest, a ox-drawn cart, and the palanquin the Hina dolls ride in.
While the faces and costumes of all the dolls were undamaged, unfortunately, their hair was damaged.
We hid the musicians' hair with hats, but restoring the court ladies' hair to its original state proved quite difficult.
Even so, the Hina dolls were reunited for the first time in about thirty years.
Until the 3rd, the Emperor and Empress dolls were displayed at the entrance of the main house, but yesterday, March 4th, we rearranged all the dolls
along with their accessories on the landing of the second floor of our residence.
When I was a child, we used to display them on a ten-tiered hina stand covered with a red felt mat. But since the equipment for building that stand has disappeared somewhere,
we spread the mat on the landing and gathered them all together on top.
The dolls' hair has thinned. It feels a little sad, but somehow their expressions all seem happy. I remembered how much fun it was, every year, to buy one piece of the dolls' wedding trousseau at a time with my mother and sister.
Right next to the box where the Three Court Ladies and Five Musicians were found, there was also the box for the “Sharing White Hair” dolls we received as a betrothal gift over thirty years ago. My mother-in-law's words from that day came back to me: “These dolls are very special, so please take good care of them.”
Both Grandpa and Grandma seemed well, but for some reason, only Grandma's hair had thinned.
Without a hat to hide it, I couldn't cover it up. I managed to style what hair remained using my hair cream.
Grandpa with his rake, Grandma with her broom – just like us today. Though not yet completely white, both of them have started showing noticeable streaks of gray lately. The dolls mirror us, sweeping the grounds of Aji Minato Banjo every day with our brooms, rakes, and axes.
We welcomed these dolls into our home too, and now our living space is filled with dolls.
Aji Minato Banjo has been operating as a minpaku for one full year. Yet, while cherishing what we've inherited from our parents, grandparents, and ancestors before them, we intend to continue striving forward with renewed dedication.
March, April, and May are the peak travel season.
Within Kagawa Prefecture, the Kompira Kabuki also takes place in April.
In terms of preserving tradition, Aji Minato Bansho is just as serious as the “Kompira Kabuki” – at least in spirit.

３日の節句の日まではお雛様とお内裏様を母屋の玄関先に飾ってありましたが、昨日３月４日にはすべてのお雛様を
私たちの住まいの2階の踊り場にお道具とともに飾りなおしました。
子供のころは、10段くらいのひな壇に赤い毛氈を引いて飾っていましたが、その段を作る機材がどこかに行ってしまったので
毛氈を踊り場に広げて、その上にみんな勢ぞろい。
髪の毛が薄くなってしまったお雛様。少し、かわいそうな感じもしますが、なんだかその表情はみな嬉しそう。母と姉と一緒にお雛様のお嫁入り道具を、毎年ひとつづつ買いそろえていくのが楽しみだったことをおもいだしました。
三人官女や五人囃子が発見された箱が置いてあったすぐそばに、30数年前に結納でいただいた「共白髪」のお人形の箱もありました。義母が「このお人形はとてもいいものだから、大切にしてね。」とあの日私に言っていたことばが浮かんできました。
おじいさんもおばあさんも元気そうでしたが、なぜかおばあさんの髪の毛だけが薄くなっていて。
お帽子がないのでごまかすことができず、なんとか、私のヘアクリームを使って、残っている髪の毛で形を整えました。
おじいさんは熊手、おばあさんはほうきをもって、まさに現在の私たち。真っ白にはなっていないけれど、二人ともちらほらと白髪が目立ち始めている今日この頃。庵治みなと番所の敷地内をほうきや熊手、斧をもって毎日掃除をしている私たちの姿をお人形たちは映し出してくれています。
このお人形にも私たちの住まいに来ていただいて、私たちの住まいはお人形でいっぱいのお部屋になりました。

床の間には、祖父が買いそろえた掛け軸の中の一つを選んで飾ってあります。
そして、今年は午年なので、明治４５年に購入されたと書かれてある、１００年以上たっている馬の置物。
茶室には炉が切ってあり、その炉を囲んでお茶も楽しめます。
建物が、築１５０年以上の建物である囲炉裏の間は今は使われていない大きな炉があり、壁には祖父の時代に行っていたサンゴ漁の写真と、映画世界の中心で愛を叫ぶのロケ現場の写真が飾ってあります。その部屋の隣は、ミニ銭湯。
富士山の絵が描かれていて、銭湯に行った気分を味わえます。
庵治町は、最近オシャレなカフェやレストランも少しずつ増えてきて、家族や恋人同士がふっと訪れて、

people inevitably regress.
Learning new things is important, but deepening existing knowledge is equally vital.

the attitude of learning is crucial to deepening even shallow, superficial knowledge.
