Biosensors: High Durable, Biocompatible, and Flexible Piezoelectric Pulse Sensor Using Single-Crystalline III-N Thin Film
Jae-Hyun Ryou and his team have developed a highly sensitive and durable flexible pulse sensor using non-toxic and biocompatible group III-nitride semiconductor thin films. This sensor leverages the strong electromechanical coupling factor of these materials to measure pulse waveforms from various arterial sites on the skin. The device is reliable, self-powered, and compact, offering a safe solution for continuous and unobtrusive measurement of the artery augmentation index, pulse wave velocity, and pulse rate.-Scientific Journal cover design by scapiens.
