やっと春が来ますね。
なかなか一気に暖かくならないのがもどかしい。
つい数日前はみぞれ混じりの雨も降ってて、
なかなか複雑な三寒四温のようです。
ギタリストは、音作りのための"エフェクター"という機材を使っています。
その中でも足で踏んでON / OFFを切り替えるペダルタイプのものがあって、
それをエフェクターボードにたくさん並べてあります。
最近そのいくつかを入れ替えました。
いいエフェクター探しは常にやっているので、
気になるエフェクターがあれば試奏してみて、
「これは使えるな」となればこのエフェクターボードの中に組み込みます。
これも最近導入したワーミーペダルというエフェクターで、
音程をペダルで可変出来るものなんですが、
簡単に言うと、「ウィーーン」みたいな音が出せるものです。
色んな音が出せて、楽しくてずっと弾いていられます。
子供の頃、超合金ロボットのおもちゃが好きで、
おもちゃ箱にいっぱい入れてあって、それでいつも遊んでいました。
このエフェクターボードっていうおもちゃ箱の中のエフェクターで遊んでるのは、
今も昔も同じなんだなとふと思ったりします。
機材は仕事道具ではありますが、
遊び心も忘れずにギターを弾いていきたいです。

～「Toy Box」～
Spring is finally coming, isn't it?
It's frustrating that it's not getting warmer quickly.
Just a few days ago, we had sleet mixed with rain, and it seems to be a complicated transition between cold and warm weather.
As a guitarist, I use equipment called "effects pedals" for creating sounds.
Among them, there are pedals that switch the effects on and off with your foot, and I have many of them lined up on my pedalboard.
I recently swapped out some of them.
I'm always on the lookout for good effects pedals.
So if I'm interested in one, I try it out, and I incorporate it into this pedalboard if I think "this is usable.
Another recent addition is a "whammy pedal," which allows you to change the pitch with the pedal.
In simple terms, it produces a "weeee" sound.
It can produce various sounds. It's fun to play with, so I can play it for hours.
When I was a child, I loved super alloy robot toys, and I had a lot of them in my toy box, playing with them all the time.
Playing with these effects pedals in this pedalboard, I sometimes think that playing with them is the same now as it was back then.
Equipment is a tool for work, but I want to keep playing the guitar with a playful spirit.
