There have been some highlights in 2015 and it is rather difficult to choose.
The visit to Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour was quite exciting because my special young friend Wakana-chan who is like my one and only niece I never had was my company, and we met many fellow Harry fans especially the French boy whose name escaped me and his stylish and casual mom. Visiting places Wakana-chan fancied was also considerably pleasurable experience, especially the Pooh Corner cafe where we met our fellow Pooh fans.
Meeting my dear old friend for the first time in 20 years was also a delightful occasion - we enjoyed as much as we used to be just talking. The expensive dinner was a bit over the top to me but the conversation was good enough to compensate it. Hopefully we can repeat this in London in the new year.
The repair and refurbishment project of my new flat has been a slow but steady success - I now know my builders Peter and Luciano much better and vice versa and they will be helping me out, sorting my life for the foreseeable future. Bookshelves are now filled with my favourite authors' masterpieces including all the novels by P G Wodehouse, John le Carre, Patric Gale, Prof Richard Dawkins, Prof Stephen Hawking, Prof Jim Al-Khalili, Prof Michio Kaku, Scott Adams, Douglas Adams, Hermann Hesse, Kurt Vonnegut, and so on and so forth.
The Blow Monkeys' new album special gig was my very first at the commercial venue listening and singing and dancing to their live performance as their executive producer. Now Dr Robert is working on his latest solo album and PledgeMusic notified me that the pledge target has already been achieved within few days. I will hug his beloved wife and manager Michele in April 2016.
Attending my great aunt Harumi's memorial service was a sad but uplifting endeavour, meeting Auntie for the first time and confirming my commitment to further my research on the right honourable Harumi's direct ancestor, Lord Katsu-ie Shibata. He is still loved by his last constituency Fukui City with his beloved wife Oichi-no-kata, the younger sister of Nobunaga Oda for whom a series of statues built in their memorial park next to the shrine.
However, the best is the services I attended for Easter, Remembrance Sunday and Christmas let alone all the other seasons of the year, singing Anglican hymns with occasional descant, supporting my dearest vicar Mother Christine as her principal server, sacristan and lay minister of the chalice. After her Christmas Dinner, I could not eat for more than 24 hours, and the second day late in the evening only I managed to have a Spanish seedless persimmon.
There have been too many sad and infuriating news reports and we should work harder to make a difference in this horrible world, yet I am most grateful for the good people who inspire me, encourage me and support me in body, mind and spirit. You know that I mean YOU!
Thank you for everything you have done for me, continuing your blogs, your messages, your comments, and your continuous presence just one click away from me.
Happy New Year, my friends, and hopefully let us enjoy our life together on this precious planet called Earth.
