バタフライハンドラーとしての仕事。
今回、ルイヴィトンの動画制作プロデューサーと監督からのご依頼は、どんな蝶を準備できて、どこまで蝶を扱えるか？！というお話でした。
日本は四季があり、その時期によって蝶の種類は異なりますが、いつでも蝶はいます。
蝶は生き物なので、簡単ではないです。
しかも、当たり前ですが、死なさないで生かして撮影します。
そして、どこまで蝶に思うように動いてもらうか？！
今回も、現場で最初のご要望は、鞄の上に蝶を留まらせる。でした。
写真の通り、蝶が頑張ってくれて、撮影できました。
他にも、監督のご要望にお応えする事ができました。
更に、この刺激的な経験で、新たな課題と、まだまだ出来る！という思いもあります。
バタフライハンドラーとしての仕事、生き物相手なので大変ですが、とても刺激的で楽しいですし、完成した映像を見ると、CGや標本では表せない生きた姿がそこにあり、こだわりの監督さんが本物を使いたい！という気持ちが分かりました。

My job as a butterfly handler.
This time, the request from the Louis Vuitton video producer and director was what kind of butterflies I could prepare and to what extent could I handle them?!
Japan has four seasons, and while the types of butterflies vary depending on the time of year, there are always butterflies around.
Butterflies are living creatures, so it’s not easy.
And, of course, I have to keep them alive and film them.
And to what extent can I allow the butterfly to move as I want?!
Once again, the first request on set was to get the butterfly to land on the bag.
As you can see in the photo, the butterfly did its best and we were able to film it.
I was also able to meet the director’s other requests.
Furthermore, this exciting experience has presented me with new challenges and the feeling that there is still so much I can do!
My job as a butterfly handler is tough because I work with living creatures, but it’s also very stimulating and fun. When I see the finished footage, I can see the real thing, which can’t be captured with CG or specimens, and I understand why a director who is so particular about his work wants to use the real thing!
I will do my best to meet your requests!
