先日、大学芋を作りました
甘いカラメルをまとったサツマイモ、とっても美味しいですよね
小さい頃から大好きです
大好きなのに、家ではあまり作った事がなかった大学芋
やっとこさ作ってみました
そういえば、この料理名は何故「大学芋」だなんて言うのでしょうか。
どこらへんが「大学」なの
とツッコみたくなるメニュー。笑
ということで、調べてみました

大学芋という名は、大正から昭和にかけて、東京の神田近辺（学生街）で大学生が好んで食べていたため、ついたといわれる[1]。
また、昭和初期に東京大学の学生が学費を捻出するためにこれを作って売ったのが名前の由来だという説もあるが、
大学芋のメーカーである台東氷業（東京都台東区雷門）の話では、東京大学の赤門の前に三河屋というふかしいも屋があり、
大正初期に蜜に絡めた芋を売ったのが大学生の間で人気を呼びこの名がついたという。

Actually, the meaning of "DAIGAKUIMO（大学芋）" is "sweet potatoes of college students".
It seems that strange name but it has its origin.
A long time ago, there was a potato shop in front of the main gate of the University of Tokyo,
and when the shopper sold potatoes with candy there, it became very popular with university students.
Therefore, such candied sweet potatoes became to called as "DAIGAKUIMO（大学芋 /sweet potatoes of college students) "

1.Fry sweet potatoes
2.Make caramel with sugar and soy sauce.
3.Tangle fried sweet potatoes and caramel.
4.Sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
