Today, I cooked SOUMEN which is a kind of Japanese noodle.
I served Soumen in lunch as very Japanese syle for my family
The box is made from bamboo and it make meals looking very summer style.
Soumen is really homemade meal in Japan and a lot of Japanese peaple often eat it in summer time as a cold noodle.
Its great point is easy to cook, easy to eat, cooling for the body
And also it is convenient for the preserved food.
The Soumen is made from flour, salt and water.
Although it is similar to UDON, the thickness is defferent.
The thicker noodle is UDON, and the fine noodle is SOUMEN.
I like both UDON and SOUMEN so much

今日はお昼に素麺御膳を作ってみました
実は最近この竹籠を使ったランチを作りたくてうずうずしてたんです
というのも先日京都に行ってきまして
こういった竹籠の京料理を頂き、感動致しました
そして、こういった素敵な日本のおもてなし料理や盛り付け方を海外の方にも知って頂けたらなぁと感じ
私も真似して購入してみることにしました
大好きなお素麺、今日はより素敵に出来上がって大満足です
我ながらよくやった
