【売上金を通じてのネパール地震への被災者サポート】
ネパールで地震が起こった時、
心配と同時に遠くにいた自分たちにはどうやって
地震の被災者へのサポートができるのか悩みました。
私たちのネパールの家族も被災しており、大変辛い時期でもありました。
その頃、この災害から復興するために、
どうする事が一番適切な、そして現実的な方法なのか、
実際に様々なアイデアを何度も出しては消し、消しては出しながら考えていました。
そして、兼ねてから想いを馳せていた、
「ネパールで作られたささやかで愛おしい手仕事の数々は、
遠く離れた世界の人々の生活を彩ることが出来る」
という想いと、
「そこから生まれる売上金とは、ネパールで生まれたものが形を変えた姿で、
それを又同じネパールの大地震で被害を受けた人のサポートに繋げることは、
商品を買う事、売る事に加えて、その先にも意味があるのでは」、
という想いから、
Sano Tino Life Designを始めるに至りました。
そしてただ売上金を渡すのではなく、サポートするエリアを決めて、
今回の地震で家を失ったサムンドラデヴィ村の皆さんが、
再び家を建て直すのに必要な木材切断機の購入～設置に充てるという決断に至りました。
木を屋根に、窓に、扉に、様々な家具に必要な木材に変える事のできる木材切断機は、
マニュアル作業でこれを行って来たこの村にとって、今後必要不可欠な設備だったのです。

こうして、立ち上げから一年を通して行ってきました、
Sano Tino Life Designの売上金によるサムンドラデヴィ村への経済的サポートは、
前回の【再び家で眠るまで④】にてお伝えさせて頂きました通り、
木材切断機の購入～設置という目標達成を受けて一旦終了いたしますが、
今後も長期的にこのサムンドラデヴィ村の皆さんに寄り添い、
お買い上げ頂いた皆さまのおかげで使えるようになった、
この木材切断機を使い家の再建に取り組まれる様子をお伝えして行けたらと思います。
今後暫くは、商品の売上は通常の利益として計上させて頂きながら、
ネパールの魅力を、また違った面からお伝えして行けたらと思います。
そしてその歩みを緩やかながらも進める中で、
ネパールと繋がっている私たちの立場から出来る事が見つかれば、
またこのようなサポートに取り組ませて頂ければと考えております。

思い返せばこの一年、
たくさんの皆さまの温かい手や心に支えられて進んできたように思います。

仕入れや輸入を手伝ってくれたネパールの家族や友人、
モデル・撮影を手伝ってくれた友人たちや日本の家族。
ウェブショップを飛出して直接販売をする機会を下さった方々、
そして顔を見に来てくれた人たち。
応援している！といつも声をかけてくれた皆さま、叱咤激励してくださった方、
そしてお買い物頂いたたくさんの方々…！…と、ここだけに書き切れないですが、
本当に私たち夫婦2人だけでは難しかった事が、こうして一つずつ形になった一年でした。
自分たちの頭の中や心にある想いは一体どうしたら形にできるのかを考えるということや、
知った気になっている事や、どのような事でも勝手な先入観で思い込まず、
また周りや世の中の主流な流れではなくて、真相を知って向き合うこと、
色々あんまり焦らずに、長い目で見て取り組むこと...
などなど、学びもたくさんあった一年でした。
今後は自分たちの日々の生活と共に、ゆったりとしたライフワーク的な活動となりますが、

【Sano Tino 1st anniversary and prospects for the future】
It’s been a year after the massive earthquake in Nepal.
We were very much concern and worried how we can support
the earthquake victims and people in Nepal.
Of course it was a very painful time, because our family is also the part of victim.
We were also in the situation that we could not think what would be the best thing to support which will practically help to recover from the disaster,
so we kept thinking various things how we can help again and again.
Then finally we come to the conclusion to set up the Sano Tino Life Design and buy the beautiful products of the Nepal and sell to the Japan and rest of the world.
We also determine to purchase the one wood cutting machine to rebuild everybody
who lost their houses.And there, we decided to donate this machine which is most essential equipment to make the windows, doors, roofs, and various furniture.

Now we have already purchase and set up the machines in Samundradevi village.
We have also done the trial cuttings, so now we are very much comfortable
that our plan will work to contribute the earthquake victims. (as the last article.)
