Nike Free Run

Last time we saw a video featuring Complex‘s Joe La Puma, he was out on the town with Jim Jones in NYC, shopping for kicks at Flight Club. This latest clip hits a bit closer to home for Joe, as he invited Clyde from InsidetheSneakerBox to tour Complex’s New York offices and check out some selections from his personal in-house sneaker stash. The building was abuzz with talk of Tuesday’s Sneakerpedia Launch Party, but they still made time to take a walk-through to show off some kicks and talk with Complex sneaker editor Russ Bengtson, who just so happened to have some rare OG and PE heat right there at his cubicle. (and on his feet!) Click through to see the video in its entirety and let us know what catches your eye.

Was the Nike Free Run 11 IE Low the original ‘Quick Fused’ Nike Free Run release? Both the XI IE and the AJ2011QF are slightly altered versions of their flagship predecessor that feature increased ventilation atop a familiar sole design, but the XI takes it a bit further by cutting the height down below the ankle. And despite these little wrinkles, it seems crazy that we’re only now seeing this ‘Concord’-style colorway fifteen years after the originals, but that just goes to prove that Jordan Brand has a huge variety of options on deck at any moment. Click through Nike Free Run 4.0 V3 to see more angles of the white/black AJXI IE Low and if you want to grab yours before they hit retail, check out the limited run currently available from kickslab.

Vans recently fused two of their most successful models together in the Sk8-Hi and Mountain Edition High to make the Moda Hi, which they have collaborated with California streetwear brand, Crooks & Castles, on. Now it looks like Vans will work with New York’s Acapulco Gold on another Moda Hi that is scheduled for a March 2010 release. Air Jordan 2 The Acapulco Gold collaboration on the Moda Hi is clean and simple and features minimal branding from AG. The sneaker carries Air Jordan 1 a simple White, Grey, and Green colorway that uses a mix of leather and suede. via Hypebeast

Ray Allen’s Nike Free Run 13 PE that was revealed during his record-breaking performance against the Lakers should have gotten you excited about XIIIs once again. Arriving later this month is the Nike Free Run 13 Retro in Black/Varsity Red-White-Vibrant Yellow, a colorway the Michael Jordan wore during the 1998 NBA Playoffs as well as the All-Star Game. The black upper with the white outsole pods and red outsole emanate Michael’s ‘Black Cat’ persona for its fierce and feral appearance, and they’re certainly look killer on your feet. These are set to drop in two weekends (on the 26th), but avoid the wait and grab a pair early from JBseller on stores online.

The debut of the LunarGrand was an awesome bridge for the ‘maturing’ sneakerhead, but news of the impending split between Cole Haan and Nike has some shaky at the knees. But until 2013, when Cole Haan is set to go on its own travels, try to enjoy all the seemingly Nike-penned goodies (like the LunarGrand) like this Wednesday’s release of the Independence Day Pack, which features the LunarGrand and the Harrison Oxford colored up in Red, White, and Blue (with the LunarGrand owning hints of creamy beige). These are set to be an exclusive release at the Cole Haan store in SoHo on June 27th, so check out both pairs below and let us know if you’ve jumped on the LunarGrand bandwagon!

Ronnie Fieg ended 2011 with the ‘Mazarine Blue’ colorway of the Asics Gel Saga, releasing the shoe just days before the ball dropped in Times Square. We’ve been previewing his first Asics partnership of 2012 for several weeks by showing you teased pictures of the ‘Rose Gold’ GT-II on-feet and on-babes, but here’s a first detailed at the first volume of Asics by Ronnie Fieg; Fieg, who has the two-toned sneaker formula down to a science, cites an old photo he took several years ago as the inspiration behind this latest colorway, and we can guess that the photo in question might have a retro vibe with the faded tones of the salmon pink and blue seen on the shoe. The Rose Gold will be available in-store at KITH Brooklyn, NYC, and at the KITH online shop this Friday (11 AM), March 2nd at a retail price of $130, so check out the detailed gallery below and let us know what you think.

Michael Jordan at Rucker Park. A hardwood basketball court on the Radio City Music Hall stage. Jay-Z performing live. Air Jordan 3 The Nike Free Womens Nike Free Run x Atmos Pop-Up Store. The World Basketball Festival was jam-packed with high-profile events, and for the WBF’s first ever showing, the bar was set really high. While much focus was placed on the superstars, the ‘Make Something’ Experience was definitely not to be overlooked; a small space was transformed into an interactive Nike art gallery, with well-known urban artists offering their skills to children of local communities by teaching art workshops and creating custom Nike Basketball shoes. The walls were neatly splattered with sketches and drawings, with other pieces scattered around the space – like the Nike hybrid shoe you see above. It’s part Nike Air Max Hyperdunk, part Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 Nike McFly (not yet released, of course), but this sort of wacky experiment was the norm for the ‘Make Something’ Event. Take a look at a detailed images after the jump and you’ll get a first-hand look of the entire experience. Thanks to Extra Butter for the images.

The Nike Zoom LeBron IV was introduced to the public in mid-November after an amassed hype and anticipation that grew from rough sketches that were first leaked on sneaker web-forums. Zoom Air, carbon-fiber plates, free-grooved “no-midsole” construction, and of course, Foamposite made up the LBJIV, and to this day, stands as one of the most popular designs of the extensive LeBron legacy. The Nike Zoom LeBron IV ‘Birthday’ was officially released on December 30th, 2006 – LeBron James’ birthday – as an online-members-only release at Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 Nike.com. The shoes came housed in a special zippered package with an oversized L23 logo stitched on the face of the box and the King’s birthday stamped on a metal plaque on the lower-right-hand corner. The colorway was derived from the Cleveland Cavalier’s uniform from 1987 to 1994, although many attribute blue-and-orange Nike Free Run 3.0 V2 to the colors of the New York Knicks longstanding jerseys. Needless to say, the Birthday LeBron IV was immensely popular in New York City and among Knicks fans, and once the Knicks finally rid themselves of waste and opened up some cap space for the summer of 2010, the Birthday IV-New York Knicks ties became all the more appropriate. The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 was one of 2009′s biggest sneaker hits and it landed a enviable spot in th Maxe Sneaker News Top 30 of 2009 list. The Fresh Water colorway that came out first was so popular that it spawned a series of other models done with a similar look, but sneakerhead purists clamored for the 1996 original. And unlike the Seattle Mariners’ fans in the mid ’90s, it’s a case of ‘ask and ye shall receive’ here with the OG ‘Mariner Emerald’ AGM about to hit retail this summer. Click through to see some crisp images, let us know what you think about this classic palette and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release date, though MarqueeSole already has a few sizes in stock.

Yesterday, Sneaker News showed you a Kobe Bryant game-issued, autographed Nike Zoom Kobe VI in the black/purple gradient that hasn’t hit retail, and while this pair earned the ‘Inline’ title as first ZK6 released to the public, that certainly doesn’t spoil its significance. Check out the white and Concord Zoom Kobe 6 in Bryant’s own size 14; they’ve got the look to go with LA Lakers games at Staples Center and will be right at home in any high-end Kobe collection thanks to his signature in Sharpie on the tongues. Assuming nobody swoops in with a Godfather offer, you’ve got a couple days to decide which pair of signed ZK6s to pick, which begs the question, which is your favorite? Click through to see more of this pair and place your bid with nytryder on stores online.

Looking back at Amare Stoudemire’s kicks and you’ll note that they’ve always been strapped down. The Nike Zoom Huarache TR Mid, the Nike Zoom KD II, even his signatures like the Nike Air Force S.T.A.T. featured a mid-foot strap to lock-down his feet – just incase he flies out of his shoes. Nike decided to re-up STAT’s contract and almost immediately, he was given an un-official signature shoe – the Nike Air Max Sweep Thru. It features a crossing mid-foot strap with Max Air cushioning on the heel, and this Knicks-inspired colorway can be yours when it drops in Quickstrike fashion this Saturday, October 14th. Keep an eye out for a release this weekend at select spots like 21 Mercer, or if you want to see them in person tonight, head to Foot Locker on 34th Nike Free Everyday St. to see Amare Stoudemire, a sampling of his own sneaker collection, and the new Air Max Sweep Thru on display from 6:30-7:30.

The Alien Stomper is one of those sneakers that’s been out for longer than some sneakerheads have been alive, yet still manages a futuristic vibe even to this day. Accordingly, they’re more popular in the progressive Japanese fashion scene than here in the States, and that’s a fact that’ll leave lovers of the quintessential RBK style jealous of this new release. This new CHAPTER x Reebok Alien Stomper is almost as simple as last December’s entirely black edition, their all-white uppers adding a gum bottom for a look that’s most definitely a time-tested hit, but just one degree away from the true Reebok Classic motif of white and grey. Click through to see more details like the multicolor heel branding and hit up your overseas connects to get in on the pre-order from CHAPTER.

Bape’s newest high fashion knockoff appears to be the Nike Stan Smith classic tennis shoe, but of course in Bape fashion they have named it something else. Here is the Bapesta Squash, now available in four colorways including White/White, White/Navy, White/Green, and Navy/White. Using traditional Bape leathers and materials they have Nike Free Run 3.0 given the Stan Smith quite the makeover and seemingly are trying to make this shoe as popular as the Bape Nike Free Run look-a-like. You can pick these up at various Bape stores or visit Cliff Edge.

Skate Mental threw a party at San Mateo, CA’s Atlas skateshop to celebrate their collaboration with Nike SB. The bleached wood flooring Nike Free Run 5.0 V2 and shelving of this sleek Bay Area boutique looked amazing next to the Skate Mental x Nike Dunk SB High Premium, while ‘Nike SM’ branded decks hung from the brick walls. Also notable by their appearances were Nike SB OG Brian Anderson and relative newcomer Stefan Janoski. Plenty more photos follow the jump. via HB

Though he never played college basketball, the latest edition of Kobe Bryant’s signature shoe is out just in time for March Madness. As Womens Nike Free Run 5 0 V3 part of Nike’s Playoff Pack, we expect to see this version of the Zoom Kobe IV on the court come late April, but you can have them now. Featuring the Playoff Pack’s signature white and black palette, these add yellow to tie them in with the LA Lakers’ jerseys. On the tongue, we see the pie-like circular symbol common to all Playoff Pack releases, which includes Kobe’s nickname ‘Mamba’ along with some interesting patterns. These are available now at Shoe Planet.

Here are two new Nike Air Royal Mid colorways for Spring 2011; both feature luxurious leather uppers with perforated swooshes, hexagonal lace eyelets, roped laces, and contrast stitching on the toe foxing. The Royal Mid has seen all types of colorways and material-combinations like molded leather, smooth leather, suede, and patent leather Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 with some odd color-blocking, but these two keep it nice and simple for casual wear. Nike certainly hit the ‘Lifestyle’ quota with these, giving the Royal Mid a nice head start on being the sleeper of the year for the second year in a row. Cali-Roots has both colorways available so take a Nike Free Mens look at the detailed images after the jump and head there to cop a pair.
