As sneaker-inspired art becomes increasingly common, we’ve seen a few standout ceramic pieces over the last year or so. The China-inspired Nike Zoom Kobe 5 is a fitting tribute to, well, fine china and Kang Lee’s creations feature an impress5e attention to detail, but none Nike Free Run 5.0 V2 of these can match the above pictured work in terms of capturing their muse’s OG colorways. Have a look at this impress5e Sole Haven x New Balance 577 Ceramic crafted by old hand Jon Lawrence, a guy whose 2008 Dunk sculptures served as a catalyst for the above referenced works. Jon went so far as to use clay from a quarry in Cumbria for a ‘Made in England’ model that’s a bit stiffer than those produced at the nearby Flimby Factory. These joints are quite impress5e and the best part is that if you send an email titled “Ceramic 577″ to customerservice@solehaven.com with New Balance’s year of establishment in the body, you’ll have a chance to win of one of three pairs in existence! The deadline’s April 1st so you’ll have plenty of time to google the answer, and in the meantime be sure to click through to see more angles of the latest piece of sneaker art. via HB
