There is no quit in Cleveland's Jake (The Mistake) Delhomme.

No matter how well he may have been playing in the first half of Sunday's game, a 2423 win by the Browns, you knew it was just a matter of time before the veteran quarterback would screw things up, start throwing to the guys in the wrong coloured jerseys and turn what once looked like a walk in the park into a nailbiter.

The 110 Carolina Panthers are not a team that knows how to mount anything resembling a rally but thanks to Delhomme finding his interception form in the third quarter, he breathed life into the corpse of his former team.

Delhomme, making just his second start of the season and his first since the opening week of the season, opened up like Joe Montana as he completed his first five passes on an opening drive that ended with a TD run by Peyton Hillis.

Steelers 19, Bills 16

Shaun Suisham booted a 41yard field goal late in overtime to lift Pittsburgh past Buffalo.

The field goal, Suisham's fourth of the game, came after Bills receiver Steve Johnson dropped a pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick in the end zone early in OT. Rashard Mendenhall had 151 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Steelers while Ben Roethlisberger passed for 246 yards. Hines Ward had seven catches for 107 yards.

Rian Lindell kicked three field goals for the Bills, including a 49yarder in the dying seconds that forced overtime. Fitzpatrick passed for 265 yards and Fred Jackson caught five passes for 104 yards and a touchdown.

Kevin Boss's 32yard touchdown with just over three minutes left in the fourth quarter capped a 69yard drive and gave New York the win over Jacksonville.

The Jags had one last chance but three straight sacks of David Garrard, the last one forcing a fumble that the Giants recovered with 90 seconds left, sealed it. Garrard completed 20 of 35 passes for just 162 yards and was picked off once.

New York's Eli Manning passed for 226 yards and hit Mario Manningham and Boss with secondhalf touchdowns.

Vikings 17, Redskins 13

Minnesota made Leslie Frazier's debut as head coach a successful one as Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart ran for touchdowns in the win over Washington.

Peterson was held to 36 yards before leaving with an injured right ankle in the first half while Gerhart ran for 76 yards on 22 carries. Brett Favre threw for 172 yards for the Vikings.

Donovan McNabb passed for 211 yards and a touchdown, a 10yarder to Fred Davis early in the game, and Brandon Banks returned a kickoff 65 yards for a touchdown.

Falcons 20, Packers 17

Matt Bryant kicked a 47yard field goal with nine seconds left as Atlanta extended its winning streak to five games and stayed one game ahead of New Orleans atop the NFC South. Robert Mathis Colts Jersey

Green Bay's Jordy Nelson caught a touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers with 56 seconds left but Matt Ryan, who passed for 198 yards and a touchdown, drove the Falcons to the Packers 29 to set up Bryant's winning FG.

The Packers called timeout before Bryant got the kick off but he calmly made the second attempt.

Texans 20, Titans 0

Houston's Andre Johnson caught a twoyard touchdown pass before being ejected in the fourth quarter for fighting with Tennessee defender Cortland Finnegan. Arian Foster rambled for 143 yards and caught nine passes for 75 yards but was kept out of the end zone by the Titans.

Matt Schaub was 25 of 35 for 178 yards and two touchdowns, one each to Johnson and Joel Dreessen.

The Texans held Chris Johnson, a 2,000yard runner in 2009, to just five yards.

Dolphins 33, Raiders 17

Miami overcame a 101yard touchdown by receiver Jacoby Ford on the opening kickoff to down Oakland.

Ravens 17, Buccs 10

Todd Heap and Derrick Mason caught secondquarter touchdown passes and Baltimore withstood a fourthquarter rally to down Tampa Bay.

With the game tied 33, Heap hauled in a 65yard TD pass from Joe Flacco to give the Ravens the lead for good. Flacco, who had 289 yards passing, then hooked up with Mason from 10 yards out to give Baltimore a 173 halftime lead.
