Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s gorgeous eight-tiered wedding cake.

Made by Fiona Cairns, the cake was made out of 17 different individual fruit cakes covered in cream and white icing and decorated with up to 900 delicate sugar-paste flowers.

Queen Elizabeth II's 1947 wedding cake was nine-feet tall and weighed 500 pounds. It was made by McVitie and Price, the same biscuit company who will make Prince William's groom cake.

Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier's six-tiered wedding cake was a gift from the pastry chefs at Monte-Carlo's famed Hôtel de Paris. The cake topper was a revolving miniature of the bride and groom that played "Ave Maria" and Mendelssohn's "Wedding March."
