Tantalum ceramics
Tantalum ceramics are composite materials made of ceramic phase and metal tantalum powder or Ta2O5 powder. Ceramic phase is a high melting point, high hardness, high strength oxide or refractory compound, adding metal tantalum powder or Ta 2O 5 powder can improve its plastic and thermal conductivity, and buffer stress. Tantalum ceramics can be used as additives for aerospace materials and cemented carbides.

Tantalum based alloy
In order to improve metal properties, tantalum alloys are added to some Tantalum Alloys. It is used to improve its corrosion resistance and maintain its high strength and excellent processability at high temperature. It includes Ta-W series, Ta40Nb, Ta-8W-2Hf, Ta-111, Ta-222, tantalum chromium alloy, tantalum tungsten and hafnium alloy.

Tantalum and hafnium alloys are used for heat-resistant and high strength materials for rockets, missiles and jet engines. The melting point of tantalum pick-up alloy is 30800C, the density is 16.6g/cm3, and it has the high-temperature toughness and impact resistance. It can be used at high-temperature 25000C.
