...is to be there for people. To help and heal through art. I believe that the artist can be a very potent healer, because as an artist you have the chance to influence an unlimited amount of people in unlimited ways. You have a unique chance to help and heal in ways professionals of other industries cannot. For example a doctor can heal one person at a time. It's admirable, but the power of art is something universal and timeless.
アーティストとして、強く思ってる事の一つは、相手のそばに居ることです。相手って周りの人もそうだし、ファンもそう。アーティストってアートで人を助けられるし、癒せると思う。だから、アーティストはヒーラーの一種類だね。数え切れない人数を数え切れない方法で影響出来るから、それは相手を助ける大チャンスです。医者とかは一回で1人しか助けられないのに、アーティストは一回で多くの人を助けられる。魂の健康があれば、身体も健康だからさ。医者も凄く有難いけれど、アートの力は国際的で永遠のものだ。
An album that you spent 1 year of your life creating, might influence and improve peoples lives for the next decades. A sculpture from ancient Greece can stand there for another thousand years and still leave people speechless, healing their soul with its magnificent expression. See what I mean?
例えばね、完成をする為に1年かかったアルバムをリリースして、多分そのアルバムは次の十年の人の人生を影響するかもしれない。そして、古代ギリシャの像は、後千年に同じ場所で立っても、見てくれる人の魂を癒していく間違いない。言いたい事分かる？
That's the purpose of art, at least the way I see it. I might never become rich from my album sales, but if I know I've helped a bunch of people become the best versions of themselves and live a good life, that will be success.
