逮捕容疑は、昨年７月下旬、東京都新宿区のカラオケボックスで、１８歳未満と知りながら、当時１４歳だった都内の公立中３年の女子生徒にみだらな行為をした疑い。
警視庁によると、今井容疑者は携帯電話のゲームサイトを通じて女子生徒と知り合った。今年１月下旬、女子生徒と両親が警察に訴えたことから発覚。金銭の授受はなく、今井容疑者は大学生と名乗っていたという。
警視庁警務部の中村格参事官は「法を順守すべき警察官がこのような事案を起こしたことは極めて遺憾。捜査を徹底し、厳正に対処する」とのコメントを発表した。
