Windowsをはじめとして、ソフトはたいていインターネットにつないでおくと、自動的に更新されていくのが通例です。
（もちろん、設定によります）
ですが、パラシャラズ・ライトはそういうわけにはいかないみたいです。
このソフトには結構バグ（不具合）があり、お困りの方も少なくないと思います。
わたしもたびたびバグに遭遇し、GeoVision Software にメールでクレームを入れています。
するとたいてい、修正ソフトを送ってくれます。
つまり、クレームを入れないとそのままということなのです。
私の知る限りの最新情報では、パラシャラズ・ライト９はマイナーバージョンアップされ、９．２になっています。
先日、パソコンを買い替える際、、最新の修正ソフトを送るよう依頼しました。
実は、わたしは２本ライセンスをもっているのですが、これまで２本ともウィンドウズだったのを、１本をマック用に交換してもらえないかという、通常の大手ソフトメーカーなら門前払いを食らいそうな依頼をしてみたのです。
こんな返答が届きました。

Here's our license policy:
Under one license, you can install the software on two computers if all 4 of the conditions below are true:
--both computers are of the same platform (both Windows)
--both computers are your personal computers
--you are the only user of the computers
--you are the only user of the software
Given that you possess two PL9 Windows licenses, you currently have the authorization to install and utilize PL9 Win on up to four computers. To proceed with installation on your new computer, we will need to generate a new PL9 Windows individualized installer file for you, incurring a fee of $25 USD.
Should you wish to convert one Windows license to a Mac license, the associated fee amounts to $50 USD. Consequently, you would be entitled to use PL9 on two Windows computers and two Mac computers exclusively. It is imperative that you agree to remove PL9 Windows from any additional computers as per the terms of this arrangement.
Please let us know how you would like to proceed.
つまり、２本ともウィンドウズにするんだったら２５ドル、１本をマックにするんだったら５０ドルで対応可能です、というのです。やったー！という感じです。本来なら299ドルかかるのを50ドルで手に入るんですから。
