この部分は、どの程度の内容を記載すればよいのでしょうか？
（Ａ）この部分で重要なのは【発明が解決しようとする課題】です。
あなたの発明の認定に、最も重要な部分です。
この部分がわかりやすいように、端的に書けばよろしいと思います。
【背景技術】は【発明が解決しようとする課題】への前振りです。
ストーリーをうまくつなげてみてください。

当該部分で、たまに以下のような記載を見かけます。
（あまりお勧めできるものではありません。）
①従来の技術（発明）を詳細に説明して、延々とそのダメ出しをする。
②本願発明に至るまでの経緯を、苦労話として延々と説明する。
以下、説明します。

このような出願書類はよくあります。気持ちはわかります。
従来技術のダメ出しで本願発明のすばらしさを主張したいのでしょう。
しかし、本願発明の「課題」と関係ない説明は意味がありません。
また、発明のすばらしさは特許になることにあまり関係がありません。
（この点については、ここでは割愛します。別の記事で述べます。）
またそもそも、従来技術が、本来の意味での従来技術とは限りません。
本来の意味での従来技術とは、
✔本願発明に最も近い技術（＝審査官が認定する従来技術）です
たしかに、本願発明を、本願発明に最も近い技術と対比できれば、
→本願発明を特許に導くために効果的です。
他の従来技術（＝より本願発明に近い技術）があるかも知れません。
その場合、出願書類に記載の対比（ダメ出し）は無意味になります。
②本願発明に至るまでの経緯を、苦労話として延々と説明する。
これについても、たしかに気持ちはわかります。
しかしこれも、①と同様です。
本願発明が特許になることとは、ほとんど関係がありません。
■なぜ出願書類の記載を充実させる必要があるのか？
上記の①、②に関連しますが、そもそも、
✔なぜ出願書類の記載を充実させる必要があるのでしょうか？
別の記事でも述べましたが、その大きな目的の一つは、
✔本願発明を補正する根拠が増えるということです。
従来技術の説明は、本願発明を補正する根拠にはなりにくいのです。
ですので、従来技術の説明を充実させる意味は、あまりありません。
■発明者の思いは、本願発明の説明に！
以上は、あくまで特許になる可能性という観点のお話しです。
特許の出願書類に、発明者の思いを記載しても、悪くありません。
ただ、発明者の思いは、
✔特許と関係ない部分ではなく、
（従来技術の無意味なダメ出しや、発明の苦労話ではなく）
✔本願発明の説明を充実させる方にぶつけてみてください！

Application documents like this are common. I understand your feelings.
They probably want to emphasize the greatness of the claimed invention by pointing out the failures of the prior art.
However, explanations that are unrelated to the "problem" of the claimed invention are meaningless.
Also, the excellence of an invention has little to do with whether it becomes patentable.
(I will not discuss this point here. I will discuss it in another article.)
Furthermore, in the first place, conventional technology is not necessarily conventional technology in the true sense of the word.
What is conventional technology in its original meaning?
