TOEFLの授業
今日はTOEFLの授業を受けてきたからその復習。
まずはSpeakingの練習。
"What kind of reading material, such as novels, magazines, or poetry, do you most like to read in your free time?"
これの答えを2分間考えて1分間スピーチ。
昨日書いたテンプレートをさっそく使って…
"Well... someone prefer magazines, but I personally prefer novels to magazines and poetry.
Because I have two reasons why I choose novels.
First, I can increase vocabulary. This is very important to communicate other people.
So I want to study vocabulary to read some novels.
Second, I can imagine story. This is interesting to imagine story. For example, scese, person, time and so on.
So I like to read some novels."
まぁこんなもん。
なんか間違いあったら教えてくださいな。
Speakingの注意点は
Speak-fast/clearly
3 reasons
vocabulary-academic words
structure
やっぱり理由3つはなかなか出てこない…
すぐ出てくればネタが増えてテストも楽になるかもしれない。
あとは単語だよなあ。
1000語くらいの単語リスト渡されて知らない単語をピックアップしたら、
約7割が分からなかった。
同じクラスの人でTOEFL 60点の人がいて、
その人は9割くらい理解出来てたよ。。。
すげえな。
よく聞いたら大学入試で覚えた単語が結構あるかららしい。
あぁ…
そういうこと言われたらもうなんも言えないや…
