TOKYO AMERICAN CLUB YOUTH RUGBY PROGRAM, Fall 2016 - Class 5 Report

Sunday Oct. 9th

6-9 years - 11:00-12:00

10-12 years 12:00-13:00

This week I wanted to increase the amount of chance each of the kids had to run with the ball to see if they would stay more engaged. So we did a lot of individual attack activities then finished with  game of Team Att V Coach where they had to pass at least once before scoring. Even though there was plenty of opportunity for each kid to attack some were very reluctant to take their turn defending. I think this was because they felt like they couldn't score as a defender. The youngest of the group easily become distracted or upset still.

In the older class, towards the end of the class the passing in the 2 on 1 situation was starting to be much less accurate, particularly passing off the left hand.
