“I was addicted to food,” she said “I ate all the time. I ate when I wanted, how much I wanted to. I ate so much that Meizitang Strong Version I would literally be so full that I’d be in so much pain I’d throw up and go back to eating more half an hour later. When someone would tell me I needed to lose weight I would go to the fridge and eat. What I ate was the only thing I did have control over.”
Doctors repeatedly told her she needed to lose weight and that she was slowly killing herself. They even said she would be a candidate for a gastric bypass, but she decided to pass on the surgery. “In my mind it was a drastic thing to do. I don’t like surgery and the idea of only being able to eat little bites of food was just so overwhelming.”
Eventually she had to stop working as a lab technician, a job she loved, because her size was making it difficult to stand for long periods of time or move around. For Foote, life was passing her by. Then she saw the picture.
“I saw it and I was, like, I don’t want to be this anymore,” she said. “I was tired of being tired, tired of not living my life the way I wanted to. The way I was eating I was only packing more and more on, until what if I was in a wheelchair… I didn’t want to get to that point.”
So in December 2011, Foote decided to take her life back. She had already taken nutrition courses, so she knew how to eat healthy foods. She jumped on her computer and started to Google fitness tips, programs and menus. She spent hours reading the heart-wrenching stories of other overweight people who struggled and succeeded with their weight loss journey.
Her first course of Fruta Planta Diet Pills action was a complete overhaul of her house. She got rid of all the junk food. Every bag of cookies, Doritos, Skittles, chocolate bars, pastries were thrown out. Then she headed to the grocery store and spent hours filling her cart with healthy fruits and vegetables. She carefully read the labels before buying items. She wanted to be aware of what she was putting in her body.
The next step was joining a local gym, something Foote had tried before and failed. In the past she’d join with the mentality “I give it two weeks.” And every time she failed. This time, she decided to try the Windsor YMCA, and Foote said she had a great feeling on her first visit.
Of course, the biggest challenge was how to even start a workout program. Her weight made it difficult to do a lot. She could only go on the elliptical for a few minutes before becoming winded. After reading about the benefits of water on the body’s joints she decided to try aqua fitness, which is aerobics in the pool. In no time, she could do the aqua fitness class and then swim a few laps of the pool. Things slowly started to get easier for Foote.
