Online shopping companies are so aggressively trying to monopolize retail markets that

they usually give customers a discount and free shipping, plus the benefit of same-day or next-day delivery. As a result, courier workers are suffering from increasing workloads, which force them to work overtime usually without pay because of their contracts.

Recently, workers in a courier company protested against the unbearable situation, which made headlines, and people for the first time realized the convenience they enjoy as an online shopper is a burden to those workers.

I think the amount of work required to deliver goods has been underestimated due to the name "free shipping," and goods are unnecessarily being delivered too quickly. It is now time to rethink how much we need cheap and rapid delivery for the sake of energy saving on the earth.
