最近買ったもの、いただいたもの。

推し活でなんとイタリアまで行かれた
大人の生徒さんからのお土産♪
推し活をたっぷり楽しんで帰ってきて
とてもイキイキしていました！
なんとトリュフ入りのパスタです！

カルボナーラを作って美味しくいただきました♥

最近買ったのはmtのマスキングテープ。

I happened to come across an "mt" pop-up shop 

featuring a wide selection of masking tapes, 

which was holding an all-you-can-fit promotion, 

allowing customers to pack as many rolls of tape 

as possible into a cup for just 1000 yen.
I picked out some Christmas-themed and 

Halloween-themed tapes. Seeing them made me

 look forward to the upcoming holiday season.

 

At a Convenience Store

今日はセブンイレブンで１日限定スムージー半額の日！
近所のセブンイレブンへお昼に行ったら
生徒さんのご家族とスムージーマシンのところで

お会いしました♪ご家族仲良くスムージーを

楽しんでいらっしゃいました♪
私も家族とともにいつものベリーベリーヨーグルト♥

夕方にはすでに売り切れていたようで、

レッスンを終えた小学生の生徒さん達は

間に合わなかったようです・・。

今週も小学生から大学生までいろいろな
トピックで学習しました。
ピラミッドの耐震性から漢字で型取った
アイスクリーム、動物の睡眠などなど。

Seven-Eleven offered a one-day 50% off promotion
on smoothies today. At noon, I stopped by a Seven-Eleven
 to buy one. The entire family of one of my students 

were already waiting by the smoothie machine. 

When we recognized each other, we exchanged 

smiles and had a quick chat while waiting for our smoothies.

After the Typhoon

英検が終わって、今週はReading&Speaking多めな

レッスンです。

今日は台風で生徒たちは学校がお休みだったので

"How are you?"と教室に入った生徒に聞くと

みんな"I'm happy!"でした！

台風が去った夜の中学生クラス、

レッスンの帰り際に

「あ～あ。台風、戻ってきてくれないかな・・・。」

なんていう男子生徒もいました。（笑）

学生時代の悪天候による休校は

嬉しかったものですよね♪

Mother's Day

今週の小学生クラスは母の日のカードを
作っています。
母の日がGW明けなので、GW中は小学生の
レッスンはお休みなので、母の日より前に
作ろうとするとかなり間があいてしまって
2週間もママに内緒で綺麗に取っておくのは
なかなかの難題！（苦笑）
なので、最近はGW明けにしています。

GWに出掛けなかった代わりに週末は
一泊旅行。

I took a short trip with my parents and my sister.
The hotel we stayed at was my parents' go-to
Japanese inn, where guests can enjoy an elegant
Japanese meal course made with seasonal local
ingredients.  The picturesque scenery surrounding
the inn rejuvenated us and helped us escape from
the hustle and bustle of city life. My cousin, who
lives near the hotel, visited us, and we spent some
time chatting and reminiscing together. On the train
back the next day,  we watched him waving goodbye
until we could no longer see him.

 

About My Life

人混みが苦手でGWは

友人とランチへ出かけたり、

妹家族たちとみんなで一緒に我が家で

食事したり、そしてお仕事も少ししたり・・

と割とのんびり過ごしました。

体験レッスンもあって新しい生徒さんも

仲間入り♪

そして少し早めに「母の日」をお祝いして

もらいました♥

お花に囲まれてとても贅沢な気分です♪

お礼にいただいたお花たち。

Spring Sale

写真は、タイ＆カンボジア旅行から帰国された

大人の生徒さんからいただいたお土産の一部です。
キューピーさんのトリュフマヨネーズ。

新じゃがを茹でてディップしましたが、

濃厚でとっても美味しかったです。
日本でも発売してくれないかな～♪

The spring season sees many shops offer 

sales. I take advantage of the opportunities 

to purchase some stationery at my go-to
bookstore nearby, which offers 20%
discount on all stationery around this
time every year. I also tend to download
some dictionaries to my iPad every year 

when the dictionary app store starts a sale.
Although these purchases can be a bit costly, 

they serve as a strong motivation for me to 

stay committed to my work and enjoy my 

lifelong English journey.

Springtime

ご入学、ご進学おめでとうございます🌸
春休みが終わり、新しい生徒さんたちを
迎えて今週から新年度のレッスンが始まりました。

小学生クラスは毎年一年に一度、
公園でのクラス合同イースターレッスン。
３月中はレッスン時間が取れず、
今週行う予定だったのが雨で延期。
来週こそは晴れて外で元気に体を動かしながら
レッスンできるようにと祈っています♪

Every spring, I take a picture of the same cherry tree
in full bloom along a street in my neighborhood.
It's because, unlike other cherry trees that attract many
people on busy streets, it may seem to me to stand still,
feeling lonely, as few stop to look at it.  I somehow feel
drawn to it all the more.

 

Hectic Days

小学生クラスはゲームが大好き！

ゲームで遊びながらの発話は

恥ずかしさもなく楽しめるのがいいところです♪

高校生クラスのリスニングはちょっとホッコリする

おサルさんの記事から。

週末はあちこち行かなければならなかったので

忙しくて、まだ疲れが抜けないのですが

生徒たちの笑顔はやっぱり癒されます♡

Even when I feel completely drained, 

my students' smiling faces bring me a sense of solace.

My Comfort Food

社会人生徒さんのレッスンで英語でレシピを

紹介してもらいました。
生姜焼きはウイスキーを入れると美味しくなるんですって！

私も我が家の定番レシピ「ツナそぼろ」を英語で紹介。
天国にいるおばあちゃんのツナそぼろ、

できる事ならもう一度食べたいな・・。

Sweet and savory seasoned tuna, similar to 

Japanese beef-soboro, is my comfort food, 

bringing back warm memories of visiting 

my grandmother when I was young. She 

would place the dish on the table at every 

meal, filling the house with its familiar aroma. 

My mother sometimes made it as well in my

 youth, though hers was a little different. I 

kept trying to recreate it for my own children, 

but somehow I have never been able 

to capture that special taste.

今年は新生徒の入会時期が早く、中学受験を終えた生徒さんたちが

早速入会してくれることになりました。
今週から早速レッスンが始まります。
これから春に向けてどんな生徒さん達と
出会えるのだろうと楽しみにしています♡

沢山の人とご縁がありますように・・・。

男子生徒さんの保護者の方とお話する機会がありました。

入会当初に数学が得意と伺っていたので数学が
大好きなんだろうと思っていました。あれから４年。

現在は英語が一番好きだそうで、（成績も優秀）
大学生になったらイギリスへ留学したいと考えているそうです！

男子ってあまり何でも話さないので、この機会にこんな嬉しいことを

聞かせてもらって幸せいっぱいな気分になりました。

お仕事をもっと頑張ろうという気持ちにさせてもらいました！
