Halloween Party 2026

今年もハロウィンパーティーが無事に

終わりました！初めてハロウィンパーティー

2週間前にコロナにかかってしまい、

レッスン回数が少なくなってしまって

練習不足が心配でしたが、みんなが本当に

頑張ってくれたおかげで今年も楽しい

パーティーになりました！

お菓子がいっぱい入って嬉しそう♥

Self-Introduction

週末は英検でした。

今回は小学生で準２級受験の生徒さんも

いましたが、ライティングもうまく書けたようで、

自己採点でも順調な感じです♪

他の皆さんも、実力を発揮できたようで

二次試験面接準備に進みます。

小学生クラスは、今週のレッスンを終えたら

Halloween Partyまで残り２回のレッスン。

みんなとっても意欲的で「もっと英語で表現したい！」

と練習も楽しく取り組んでいます。

当初私が予定していたプログラムより、

１人当たりの発表の時間がずっと増えました！

自己紹介だけでもいろいろ話します。

自己紹介に発表に歌もあり！

恒例のTreat bagも作りも♪

秋らしさも深まってきて、Halloween Partyも

もうすぐです！

Capsule Toys

中学生クラスの最初のListening＆Speakingで
人気のガチャガチャの話で盛り上がりました♪

近所のガチャガチャコーナーでも

子どもたちだけでなく、親世代の方々も多く見受けられます。

ガチャガチャのはじまり、人気の背景など

話題を広げながら、生徒たちも興味深く

聞いてくれました。

若い世代の人たちとこうやって話せるのは

この仕事の醍醐味！

とっても楽しいです♡

Doing the Laundry

最近人気のドラマでもよく出てきた
コインランドリーは英語で"laundromat"

We get a lot of rainy days in September.
My sister once told me that she often goes
to a laundromat to dry clothes for her family 

on rainy days, which piqued my interest, 

giving laundromat a try on one rainy day. 
Having done the laundry at home, I headed
to a laundromat in my neighborhood to dry
my clothes. I put my laundry into a dryer,
with a Plasmacluster function, which helps
sanitize and deodorize it,  and then waited 

for 20 minutes. I couldn't believe how soft 

and fluffy my clothes and towels came out for 

just 200 yen. Ever since then, I've been using 

the laundromat in bad weather. 

The Autumn Wreath

Halloween Partyに向けて少しずつ準備・・・。
昨年のクリスマスリースに続き、
今年はハロウィンリースを購入しました♪
あまりハロウィンを主張しすぎず、
秋の花や木の実でいっぱいに♪
 

行楽日和なのに毎日雨、雨、雨・・・。

I miss the sun after all these rainy days.

About My Life

週末は雨だったので、お仕事をしたり、
夜は好きな小説を読み進めたり・・と
家族でまったりと過ごしました。
買おうと決めていたハロウィンの
リースも買えました♪
 

普段あまりハンバーガーは食べないけれど、

毎年この時期になると食べたくなるハンバーガー🍔
I can't resist McDonald's limited-time
Tsukimi burger! It's one of those little things
that reminds me that autumn is here.
I had one for lunch while catching up on
TV shows on Netflix.


 

Let's Sing Along

９月に入って小学生クラスのHalloween Partyの

練習を始めました。

今年は人気のディズニーソングを歌ってくれる

生徒さん達もいてすでにとっても上手！

本番が待ちきれないです！

誕生日が９月なので、たまには

なにかご褒美を買っちゃおうかと実は結構前から

考えてはいるけど、やっぱりいざとなると迷います。

My birthday is in September, so I've been 

going back and forth over whether to treat

 myself to something for my birthday, but 

I can't bring myself to make up my mind.
I still have days to go before my birthday.

so I'll sleep on it for a while.

A Nip of Fall

教室のレッスンは先週から始まり
8月も今週で終わります。
母もお盆の間に退院して順調に

回復してきました。
夜は秋の虫の声も聞こえて
少～しずつ秋を感じるように・・。
これから英検やハロウィン、受験と
イベントが続くので頑張らないと！

Autumn is the perfect season for reading. The other day, 

I stopped by a bookstore and picked up a Japanese novel 

by Keigo Higashino, the renowned author who recently 

passed away. It had been years since I'd read a Japanese 

novel, but his passing rekindled my interest in Japanese 

fiction. Now, I've decided to make time to read Japanese 

books in the evenings for pleasure.
 

Annual Event

週末も妹夫婦と一緒に母の見舞いに行ってきました。
父も見舞いに早くからきて病室で母と一緒に過ごし

ていたそうで、久しぶりに家族全員揃っていろいろ

雑談できました。

Although we're still in the middle of summer, 
my mind is already on the next Halloween event
for kids. I have a lot on my plate creating lesson
materials during the summer break so that my students
can start practicing their speeches for the Halloween
party.  The preparation for the event in summer 
has become second nature to me.
 

Medical Checkup

学生の皆さんはいよいよ夏休みに入り
いよいよ夏本番です。
梅雨が明けたとたんに朝から蒸し暑くて
まだ梅雨が明けたばかりなのに秋が恋しいのは
私だけではないはず・・。

今週は夏休み前の最後のレッスン。
夏休みを前に新しい生徒さんが仲間入りしました♡


Last month, only about two weeks after 

our family trip, my mom had a routine checkup 

at a nearby clinic. The examination, however, 

revealed the need for further tests, eventually 

leading to robot-assisted surgery.
Because of her age, her recovery has been considerably 
slower than expected, and it will likely be quite

some time before she is well enough to leave 

the hospital. A twist of fate turned her life upside down.
I still find it difficult to believe how suddenly 

everything has changed.
