ニューヨーク・ニックスの勝利が私に示したことの一つは、スポーツにおける「不確実性（バリアンス）」です。FIFAワールドカップは人類最大のスポーツイベントですが、人々を真に団結させるものではありません。あれは壮大な舞台で行われる、死傷者の出ない戦争のようなものです。白人対黒人、欧州・アフリカ・アジア・米州（カナダからアルゼンチンまでを含む）の対立、キリスト教徒対イスラム教徒――ジェンダー以外のあらゆる対立軸が、ワールドカップをめぐる人々の議論の中に浮き彫りになります。しかし、ニューヨーク・ニックスが勝利した際、見知らぬ他人同士の街であるニューヨークにおいて、ほんの一瞬、多民族が共に喜び合う空気が生まれました。

2024年、連邦議会第13選挙区の人口は747,542人と推定されましたが、選挙における総投票数（民主党と共和党の合計）は217,622票でした。つまり、投票率は29.11%だったということです。
先日の民主党予備選挙では、シュヴァリエ（Chevalier）氏が32,790票、アドリアノ・エスパヤット（Adriano Espaillat）氏が30,464票を獲得しました。セントラル・ハーレムを含むこの第13選挙区の人口の3分の1にあたる地域には30万人が住んでいますが、その3分の1の地域の有権者のうち20%が投票したことになります。これは、シュヴァリエ氏が第13選挙区の住民を代表していることを意味するのでしょうか？それとも、民主社会主義運動はメディアによる誇大宣伝に過ぎず、大衆からの真の反応は伴っていないことを意味するのでしょうか？良質な音楽

One of the things, the NY Knickerbockers victory showed to me is the variance in sport. While the Federation of International Football Associations World Cup is the biggest sporting event in humanity, it doesn't bring people together. It is nonlethal war on a grand stage. Whites versus Blacks, Europeans versus Africans versus Asians versus Americans [Americans defined as people from Canada to Argentina], Christians versus Muslims, all the wars outside the gender based are evident to see in the discourse about the world cup among the people. But when the NY Knicks won New York City, which is not a city of friends or compatriots or americans while a city of strangers, for a few moments felt the vibe of multiracial joy among strangers.  

Did you know in 2024, the populace of the 13th congressional district was deemed 747,542 while the complete vote for the election, donkeys plus elephants was 217,622. That means 29.11 % of the people voted. 
In the donkey primary election that just passed, Chevalier had 32,790 votes while Adriano Espaillat had 30,464 which means as central harlem, a third of the 13th congressional district has 300,000 people, twenty percent of a third of the 13th congressional district voted. Does that mean, Chevalier represents the people of the 13th congressional district? Or does that mean the Democratic Socialist movement is all media hype and no true reaction from the masses?

The Aphelion , what I call midyear, is July 6, 2026 1:30 pm when the Earth is 94,502,962 miles, reached by the Earth in its elliptical orbit about the sun getting farther and farther after the perihelion, which is in early January. After the Aphelion the earth will remain on its elliptical path about the sun but the straight line distance will get shorter an shorter each day till the Perihelion.

父の日の夏至に

私は父を愛しています。ここでは個人的なエピソードを語るつもりはありません――そうした思い出は私自身が心に留め、楽しむためのものですから（もっとも、これまでの作品の中で父や母について多くのことを書いてきたことは認めますが）。父のこと、そして母がなぜあれほど父を愛しているのかを考えるとき、映画『トゥルー・ナイト（原題：First Knight）』のワンシーンが思い浮かびます。グィネヴィアがアーサーを愛する理由を問われた際、彼女が答えた言葉は、母が父について語っていたことと重なるものでした。
それは、彼が権力を実に穏やかに行使する、そのあり方です。
両親の父親たち（私の祖父たち）に思いを馳せると、父が生まれ持った気質――育つ過程で形成された気質とは別に――の由来が見えてきます。また、彼らのことを考えると、私自身の気質がどこから来ているのかも理解でき、男性としての気質について父が具体的に導いてくれたことに感謝の念を覚えます。
さらにその上の世代、つまり祖父母の父親たち（私の曾祖父たち）について言えば、私はその半分のことしか知りません。19世紀後半から20世紀初頭にかけての黒人が直面した経済的困窮は、彼らが近代社会とどう関わるかという点に大きな影響を及ぼしました。私が知り得た情報によれば、顔も知らない側の曾祖父たちは、生涯を通じて働き続けた黒人男性でした。彼らは、非黒人による奴隷制の経済的遺産を背負い、黒人の生活を困難にすることに執着する非黒人たちに支配された環境の中で生きていたのです。一方、私がその存在を知っている側の曾祖父たちは、経済的に恵まれた家系に属していました。奇妙なことに、それは非黒人からの支援や庇護によるものであり、私は彼らを「黒人の1パーセント（富裕層）」と呼んでいます。

そして、ご存知の方もいらっしゃるでしょうが、魂が自由に羽ばたいていった人々がいなくなることは決してありません。私たちには「記憶」という贈り物があるからです。それによって、私たちはいつでも好きな時に、過去を現在の中で感じることができるのです。

A Father's Day Solstice

I love my father. And while I will not tell a personal story, for those are for me to know and enjoy [ though I admit I have written many things about my father or mother in my work]. When I think of my father and why my mother loves him so much, it is a line from the film, First Knight, when Guinevere was asked why she loved Arthur, her answer simulated what my mother said about my father. 
It is the way he wields power so gently. 
Thinking of my parents fathers, I can see why my father has his natural temperament, besides the temperament he was raised to have. When I think of my parents fathers I can see where I get my own natural temperament , and I am thankful for my father's specific guidance on the temperament of a male. 
Thinking of my parents parents fathers, I only know of half of them. The fiscal poverty of black people from the late eighteen hundred or early nineteen hundreds has a role to play in their exposure to modernity.  But from what I can gather, the half of my parents parents fathers I don't know were Black men who worked all their lives , living with the financial legacy of enslavement to Non Blacks , in an environment controlled by non black people infatuated with making black life challenging. To the half of my parents parents fathers I know of, they each had a more financially fortunate stock, oddly based on non Black patronage , what I tend to call the Black one percent. 

And for those who may know, those whose spirits fly free are never gone for we have the gift of memory, where we can feel the past , in the present, whenever we want.

「ジューンティーンス（Juneteenth）」は6月19日のことです。
この日が象徴​​するのは、ある時代の終わりです。その時代は、後にアメリカ合衆国となる土地において、合衆国建国（1776年）よりも前の1492年頃に始まり、建国後も変わることなく続いていました。1492年から1865年にかけてのその時代は、現在の合衆国を構成する土地で、白人が黒人を奴隷としていた時代でした。それは、合衆国憲法や独立宣言の存在、あるいはイギリス・スペイン・フランス・オランダの植民地であったこと、さらには自らの意思で移住してきた人々がいるといった事情とは無関係に続いたものです。ジューンティーンスは、特定の地域出身の人々を祝うものではないという点で、アメリカ合衆国において珍しい祝日と言えます。この日は、特定の身体的特徴を持つ人々の「状態」を象徴しているのです。合衆国の土地に元からいた黒人も奴隷にされましたし、アジアにルーツを持つ黒人も奴隷にされました。ジューンティーンスは移民に関するものではなく、この地における「ある一つの集団」の状態の変化に関するものです。それはすべての人々のためではなく、黒人以外の先住民のためでもなく、また、合衆国やその前身である欧州の植民地へ自らの意思で移住してきた欧州・アジア・アフリカ・南米出身者のためでもありません。ジューンティーンスは、合衆国において奴隷とされた人々の末裔である黒人のための日なのです。

Juneteenth is the 19th of June. 
What Juneteenth represents is the end of an era that began before the United States of America was founded in the land that would become the united states of america, circa 1492, and was unchanged when the USA was founded in 1776. From 1492 to 1865 was the era of whites enslaving blacks in the lands that make up the United States of America today, gardless of the Constitution, gardless of the declaration of independence,  gardless of being English /Spanish/French/Dutch colonies, gardless of willing immigrants. Juneteenth is a rare holiday in the United States of America, for it doesn't represent a people from a specific place. It represents the condition of a phenotypical people. Black people who were indigenous to the lands of the USA were enslaved. Black people whose ancestry was from Asia were enslaved. Juneteenth isn't about immigration, it is about a change of state in these lands for one people, not all, not the non-black native American, not those from Europe or Asia or Africa or south America who willingly immigrated to the USA or the European colonies that preceded it. Juneteenth is for the Black descended of Enslaved populace in the United States of America.

The “hamster wheel” has become a metaphor of modern life: You run endlessly without really going anywhere. Many projects feel like this; a few deliver that hoped-for breakthrough experience to players. Enter “Be The Hamster.” Although we like to celebrate the newest tech and most innovative projects that turn up at Maker Faires around the world each year, the return of Maker Faire Orlando – November 7-9th – provides the opportunity to highlight an iconic Maker Faire project that celebrates DIY in every sense. Inspired by Rube Goldberg machines and margaritas, maker Joseph Donoughe turned an experiment in human powered locomotion into a revered carnival “ride.” You have to do all the steps, by hand and by feet, to be Final Boss…that is, to get the snowcone!

敬意を込めて —— 『It Takes Two』
Rob Base（ロブ・ベース）とDJ EZ Rock（DJ EZロック）は、今や二人とも霊界へと旅立ちましたが、彼らの楽曲は永遠のクラシックとして生き続けています。その音楽の源流にあるのは、ブルースの翼に乗って飛翔したJames Brown（ジェームス・ブラウン）の存在です。ブルースという音楽は、1865年以降のアメリカ合衆国において、かつて奴隷として連れてこられた黒人たちの末裔が歩んだ旅路の中で生まれました。それは、ニグロ・スピリチュアルからブルースへ、そしてスピリチュアルと融合してゴスペルとなり、ジャズへ、さらに「リズム・アンド・ブルース（R&B）」として知られるアップテンポなブルースへ、ビッグバンド・ジャズへ、そして「ロックンロール」と呼ばれるアップテンポなR&Bへ、ビバップへと至る旅でした。そして、電子楽器との融合を経て、ディスコ、ポップス、ヒップホップ、さらにはそれ以降に生まれたあらゆる形式の音楽へとつながる、多種多様な「ブラック・ミュージック」を生み出すこととなったのです。

Honoring , It Takes Two
Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock are now both in the spirit realm, but their song is an eternal classic, brewed from James Brown who flew on the wings of the Blues, The Blues started on the Black Descended of Enslaved journey in the United States of America  after 1865. A journey from Negro Spirituals to Blues, which merged with Spirituals to become Gospel, to Jazz, to  up tempo Blues which is known as Rhythm and Blues, to Big Band Jazz, to up tempo R&B known as Rock and Roll, to Bebop, and with the combination of electronic instruments to all forms of Black Music begat, Disco, Pop , Hip hop, and all latter forms of music.
