猪瀬都知事の事務所の渡邊貴史氏、知事本局総務部秘書事務担当課長に署名（3700筆）
そして皆様の熱い思いを届けました！

お時間をさいて来てくださった賛同者の皆様、心から感謝していますし、
なによりお会いすることができ感激です。
また数々の温かい励ましのメールをくださった皆様、本当にありがとうございました。
たくさんの方達の支えがあり行動する勇気をいただいたと実感しています。

渡邊氏は、関係部署にも渡すと言われましたが、
私も、直接“関係部署”及び都の愛護センターに猪瀬知事宛のお手紙のコピーを送るつもりです。
東京発で全国の殺処分の問題が少しでも良い方向にいけるよう地道に活動して行くつもりです。
願わくは、各道府県の知事宛に同じ様なキャンペーンが立ち上がったらもっと効果があるのではと考える次第です。

なお、昨日署名を届けた後、直接参加していただいた方とお茶をして、
色々なキャンペーンのアイデアが出てきました。
Change.orgのスタッフは今度、動物愛護に関係するキャンペーンについての
勉強会を開こうと考えているそうです。
海外での成功事例などを参考に、
キャンペーンのアイデアを提案する場所をもうけたいとのことです。

Hi all,
Thank you all for your support on my petition calling for mayoral candidates to commit to a zero kill policy on animal shelters in the city of Tokyo.
During the election in December, I reached out to all candidates to ask for their support of this petition. All but Mr. Naoki Inose responded positively, some even adding this goal to their electoral platforms.
However, Mr. Inose won the mayoral election by a wide margin, and I decided it was important to deliver our petition to him. 10 supporters of our petition went to Shinjuku yesterday to meet with Mr. Takashi Watanabe, Kacho in charge of secretaries in Administrative department in Mr. Inose’s main office and handed all of our signatures (3700) and comments.
I hope to follow-up with the municipal department that is responsible for animal shelters to speak with them directly as well. I’ll continue the diligent work of trying to address this issue in Tokyo!
I think it would be great if similar petitions could be started in cities and prefectures across Japan to improve how animals are treated everywhere. Start a petition page is here: http://chn.ge/WEjuG8
