The most powerful thing in the world is the human mind, and prayer, belief in yourself, and confidence. Always believe in yourself, and no matter who’s around you that’s being negative, or thrusting negative energy at you, totally block it off; because whatever you believe you become.
Today of all days, we focus on loving one another and giving. Let’s do that not just one day of the year, but for 365 days. Let’s love one another. Let’s forget hatred and turn to those that are suffering; not just today, but every day. Join me in healing the world and making it a better place. – MJ’s Christmas message in 1992
Michael speaking about MTV: “I used to look at MTV. My brother [Jackie], I’ll never forget, he’d say, ’Michael, you gotta see this channel. Oh my God, it’s the best idea. They show music 24 hours a day!’ So I said, ’Let me see this.’ And I’m watching it, I’m seeing all this stuff going on and saying, ’If only they could give this stuff some more entertainment value, more story, a little more dance, I’m sure people would love it more’.” “They said they don’t play [Black artists]. It broke my heart, but at the same time it lit something. I was saying to myself, ‘I have to do something…I just refuse to be ignored.’ So yeah, ’Billie Jean,’ they said, ’We won’t play it.’ “But when they played it, it set the all-time record. Then they were asking me for EVERYTHING we had. They were knocking our door down. Then Prince came; it opened the door for Prince and all the other Black artists. It was 24-hour heavy metal, just a potpourri of crazy images. They came to me so many times in the past and said, ’Michael, if it wasn’t for you, there would be no MTV’.” Michael Jackson, Ebony – December 2007
Love is a funny thing to describe. It's so easy to feel and yet so slippery to talk about. It's like a bar of soap in the bathtub -- you have it in your hand until you hold on too tight. Some people spend their lives looking for love outside themselves. They think they have to grasp it in order to have it. But loves slips away like that wet bar of soap. Holding on to love is not wrong, but you need to learn to hold it lightly, caressingly. Let it fly when it wants. When it's allowed to be free, love is what makes life alive, joyful, and new. It's the juice and energy that motivates my music, my dancing, everything. As long as love is in my heart, it's everywhere.” - Michael Jackson, Dancing the Dream
- Michael Jackson, Dancing the Dream
If you enter this world knowing you are loved, and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with.

featuringを果たした50Centへのinterviewがある
50 never actually got the chance to meet the King of Pop in person but he said, "My deejay, Whoo Kid, had an opportunity to actually meet Mike because he was interested in working with me. He was interested in working with me because he [Jackson] had a song he created that would be perfect for us to collaborate on.”
Although they never met in person, they did have occasion to discuss the track that would eventually become 'Monster,' and 50 says they shared a mutual respect for each other.
“I don’t usually get nervous, because I really don’t care about other artists,” 50 said. “Mike is special... he’s something different. I don’t even know how to explain it.”
Unfortunately Jackson died before the two got the chance to record 'Monster' together. After the shocking news of Jackson's sudden death, 50 received a call to come into the studio and record his portion of the track. Once in the studio, the rapper worked with producer Teddy Riley, on the song. Riley, Jackson's long-time producer, mastered and mixed 50's performance around Jackson's vocals.
"When I sat down and listened to the actual song, I was excited. I said, 'This is the 2010 version of "Thriller," the rapper recalled.
While various members of the Jackson family have publicly opposed the release of some of the material that will be featured on the CD, 50 sees the collaboration differently.
“For me I looked at it as an opportunity to do what we spoke about. It’s an opportunity be on a record with not just a great artist but a legend.”
While there have been mixed feelings about the album from Jackson's fans, 50 says he thinks it will ultimately be welcomed by most.
"I think this album is more special," he said. "It'll be embraced different because it's the last of really great material that Mike created, so I think people will want it to go in their actual collection... to go in their Michael Jackson material. It's a great example of how the art and the material will last longer than we will."
