ランドセルを買い忘れてます！
まだ買っていない
先日、保育園に行く途中に
『ママ、僕のランドセルはどこにあるの？』
と聞かれて気がつきました！！！！
まだお店にある！
そこから慌てて調べました
やっぱり関西人はセイバンのランドセル！？

と思ってウェブから資料請求しようとしたら
もう来年4月入園の資料なんてものはこの世になかった
電話してみたら、驚かれて何回も何年に入学するのかを確認された後
店舗に在庫がある資料をわざわざ送ってくださいました。
きっとこんなギリギリの人いないんですね、ごめんなさい。
世間一般ではラン活とよび
一年以上前からランドセルを予約するようです
そして値段はピンキリです
妹は子供に高級ランドセルを買ったのにまだ持たせず
保管しておいて
とりあえず一年生は一万円のランドセルで過ごさせているそうです
なやむ いや、悩んでる時間はない！
先日、1年生から始まる理科の実験教室の為に
体験クラスにいってきたら
水泳教室、体操教室で一緒だった親子が！

The "Mom Panic" is real!
🎒😱 I forgot the school bag!
My son starts 1st grade next April, and I just realized... I haven't bought his "Randoseru" (traditional Japanese school backpack) yet! The other day, on our way to preschool, he innocently asked:
“Mom, where is my backpack?” That’s when it hit me. It’s not in our house... it’s still at the store! 😅
In Japan, we call this "Ran-katsu" (backpack hunting). Apparently, most parents reserve theirs over a year in advance! Prices are all over the place, too. My sister even bought a high-end one for her kid but is keeping it in storage, letting them use a $100 one for the first year just in case!
I’m panicking, but I don't have time to hesitate! 💦
Being from the Kansai region, I immediately checked "Seiban" (the famous "Angel Wings" brand). But the 2025 catalogs were already gone from their website! When I called, the staff was so shocked they double-checked my son's age multiple times. They kindly found a leftover copy in-store to mail to me. I guess I’m officially the most "last-minute" parent they've ever seen!
Everything is a new world for us. Unlike my daughters, who go to a private K-12 school, my son is heading to a local public school and will eventually take the middle school entrance exam route.
I recently took him to a trial science lab, and I ran into so many families from his swimming and gymnastics classes! The "Mama-network" is incredible—everyone stays so informed through word-of-mouth. Since this is all new to me, their information is pure gold. ✨
