Driving around Tokyo was surprisingly comfortable — fewer cars than usual.

Since it’s the end of the year, we’re heading back to Kansai, where my parents live.
It gets a bit congested around Shibuya,
but once Mount Fuji comes into view, traffic usually flows smoothly again.

Every time I say,
“We’re going back to Kansai,”
my 6-year-old son corrects me:

“It might be going back for you,
but for me, it’s going there.”

I pause every time he says that.
He’s right.

Still, out of habit, I keep calling it “going home”
even when I mean “going to Kansai.”

Kansai, I love you. ❤️
