Back on my "mamachari" (aka mom-bike), zooming around Tokyo like a Kei-rin racer again today!

It is FREEZING! 🥶 But here’s my secret: When it's this cold, I turn the electric assist OFF and pedal the heavy bike manually. The resistance is insane, and my body instantly heats up like a furnace. That's how I crush the school run in winter—literally soaked in sweat!

Rain? No problem, I have my trusty raincoat!

First, the morning daycare drop-off, listening to my son's endless Minecraft lore the whole way. 🎮

After work, it's the lesson circuit: first his science class, then piano, and then my daughter's typing lesson.

My daughter was supposed to go to typing class alone, but she was still chilling at home right before the start time!! 🤦‍♀️ Whyyy?! We're going to be late! Such a waste of money! So I had to rush her there.

My eldest had a dental appointment at the exact same time (double booked, oops!), so I totally dumped that on my husband. Lifesaver, seriously. I'm stressed because there's a fee for same-day cancellations. 😩

Rushed home to make dinner. Luckily, it was Oden, so it just needed to simmer!

When we got back, everyone had Oden. The Mochikin (rice cake pouches) were the star. Wait, actually, my kids didn't eat Oden—they only ate the Mochikin 🍡

Later, my son has his online Minecraft English lesson. My 10-year-old PC is so ancient, it barely picks up his voice, which is a major pain point.

He sounds like a quiet, taciturn boy online, but in reality, he's mumbling and his sisters are screaming next to him.😂 Maybe the bad audio pickup is a blessing in disguise?

Finished around 10 PM. He was so hyped playing in his teacher's Minecraft world that he couldn't settle down and go to sleep.

And just like that, the day is over. What should I make for tomorrow's lunch box? 🍱
