i have been pleasently surprised by this book. im on page 120, and i genuinely think this is some of his best writing. it reminds me a lot of the beginning of the wind up bird chronicle. though, when i got to the 3rd part of the wind up bird i stopped reading it because i really didn't like it... but the begining of this book killing commendatore has a similar beginning to wind up bird, and i thought the beginning of wind up bird was frankly great.
the mystery set up in killing commendatore is incredibly interesting. its also unique in that its not the main focus. there's also several mystery's being explored which i love greatly. and there's also been established really unique relationships between characters that aren't solely based on the mysteries of the book, so there's actually a lot happening really.
but i havent read in almost 2 weeks. im going to try to read more of the book today. at least 20 pages... i also want to game for a while later today.
