梅雨が近づいてくると農家では田植えが始まりました。 僕の育った地域では農家が多かったので学校は数日間休みになりました。 農繁期休業といって、子供も田植えの手伝いに駆り出されたのです。幸か不幸か、ぼくんちは喫茶店を経営していたので、田植えの経験はありません。 農家のひとたちにとっては、大変な労力と神経をつかう労働であったはずですが、僕がイメージするのは 唱歌、「夏は来ぬ」の2番の歌詞 からの連想です。♪さみだれの そそぐ山田に早乙女が 裳裾（もすそ）ぬらして玉苗（たまなえ）植うる 夏は来ぬ♪ 田植え経験のない僕が、田植えを美しく、懐かしい風景としてのみイメージするのは幸いなことかなと思う：As the rainy season approached, farmers began planting rice seedlings in paddy fields. In the community where I grew up, there were many farmers, so schools were closed for several days. As you might guess, children were also sent out to help plant rice, which was called the " No school days during the busy farming season". Fortunately or unfortunately, my family owned a coffee shop, so I have no experience in planting rice. I imagine the labor must have been very hard and nerve-wracking for the farmers, but I only associate it with the second verse of the chorus song "Natsu wa kinu." ♪ The rains of May are drizzling over the mountain paddy-fields, maidens are planting precious seedlings getting their skirts wet, Summer’s here♪ Actually, I think it is fortunate that I can only think of rice planting as a beautiful and nostalgic scene.
