半年が経過したガザの人道危機に関して、Democracy Nowの記事を読んでみましょう： Israel’s war on Gaza hit the six-month mark on Sunday, a grim milestone. Over 33,100 Palestinians have been killed, including over 14,000 children. Nearly 76,000 people have been injured. Tens of thousands are missing. About 1.7 million people have been displaced. The United Nations is warning that famine is imminent[=about to happen]. イスラエルによるガザ侵攻戦争は、日曜日でゆゆしき指標となる6ヶ月を迎えた。1万4千人以上の子どもを含む3万3千100人以上のパレスチナ人が殺された。負傷者は76,000人近くにのぼる。 数万人が行方不明。約170万人が避難している。国連は飢饉が迫っていると警告している。
To mark the six months of the war, World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wrote on social media platform X, quote, “The deaths and grievous[=pitiful] injuries of thousands of children in Gaza will remain a stain [=blot] on all of humanity. This assault on present and future generations must end. The denial of basic needs — food, fuel, sanitation[=cleanliness], shelter[=housing], security and healthcare — is inhumane and intolerable,” he wrote. 世界保健機関（WHO）のテドロス・アダノム・ゲブレイエスス所長は、戦争6カ月を期して、ソーシャルメディア「X」にこう書き込んだ：「ガザでの何千人もの子どもたちの死と痛ましい負傷は、全人類の汚点として残るだろう。現在と未来の世代に対するこの攻撃は終わらせなければならない。食料、燃料、衛生設備、住居、安全保障、医療といった基本的なニーズを否定することは、非人道的で耐え難いことだ」
住民への容赦ない攻撃がおわりません。 世界は手をこまねいているばかりです。 他民族、他人種の存在を認めない主義がまかり通っています。 なんと狭量な精神でしょう！The relentless attacks on innocent people have not stopped. The world simply looks on with folded arms. The principle of not recognizing the existence of other peoples and other races still persists. We can't help but exclaim, "How narrow-minded!
