ひ~くんの英語よもやま話=284=（春を呼ぶ…節分祭） Fri.02/02/2024
（節分祭 タペストリー：妻くん作）
当地方は、ようやく春の気配をあちこちに感じる頃となりました。 今日は、旧暦によれば、立春の前日、節分の日です。この日の夜、邪気を払い、福と健康の到来を祈って、豆まきをします。 新しい季節への期待と希望を込めた大切な伝統行事です。 我が家では、添付の写真にあるような妻くんの制作したタペストリーをかざります。 タペストリーの中に描かれている、邪気のシンボルである鬼と、福のシンボルであるお多福が、仲良く並んで 豆まき用の箱に入っている姿が、とても気に入っています。 戦争が去り、平和の季節が世界に訪れますように願うばかりです。
Signs of spring are finally appearing here and there in our region. Today is Setsubun Day(=the last day of winter), the day before Risshun(=the first day of spring), according to the lunar calendar. On the evening of this day, people throw beans to chase away evil spirits and pray for good luck and health. It is an important traditional event that expresses hope and anticipation for the new season. In our home we display a tapestry made by my wife as shown in the attached photo. I really like the image depicted in the tapestry, where Oni, the symbol of evil, and Otafuku, the symbol of good fortune, are standing side by side in a mame-maki (bean-throwing) box, getting along well together. I sincerely hope that the war will be over and the season of peace will come to every corner of the world.
雨が降り続く、寒い節分の日となりました。各地の神社や寺院での節分祭は計画通り進んだのでしょうか? ちょっと心配になりました。
講座のラインに節分のタペストリーを載せたところ、すぐにKMさんが「鬼とお多福が同居、楽しそう！」とコメントいただきました！←ありがとうございます。 鬼さんとも仲良くしていきたいです。
読書感想文コンクールの最優秀作品に被災地、石川県の小学生が、選ばれていました。 ちょっとだけすっきりしない気になることがあります。 なぜその作品が、内閣総理大臣賞なのでしょうか？ あるいは、別の作品が、文部科学大臣賞なのでしょうか? これ以上のべると、嫌味になるので、申しませんが…（陰の声：すでに、ちょっと嫌味です）
今夜は、カタールで開催されている、サッカーアジアカップ、日本vsイランの準決勝進出をかけた試合があります。 地上波でも放送されます！ 必勝を祈っています！
Tonight, Japan vs. Iran, the Asian Cup soccer tournament in Qatar, will be played to advance to the semifinals. It will be broadcast on terrestrial TV! I pray for Japan to win for sure!
