ブログのお友達で、ヤボテンさんのブログ、『ヤボテンの花』では、
いつも邦楽の少し懐かしい曲を紹介してくれています。

今回は、オフコースの「さよなら」を取り上げていました。
オフコースといえば小田和正ですが、彼の声質からたまたま連想したのがクリストファー･クロスです。

中でも"ニューヨーク・シティ・セレナーデ"という邦題で有名な『Arthur's　Theme』。
これは、そのタイトル通り『Arthur』という映画(邦題は『ミスター・アーサー』)の主題曲です。映画の方はロマンチック・コメディ風の映画ですのでチャンスがあったら見てください。

この曲は、バートバカラック、キャロルベイヤーセイガー、クリストファークロス、そしてエイズで死去したピーターアレンの共作で、１９８２年のアカデミー賞主題歌賞を受賞しています。
