Reversa really does the trick

Bits and pieces and things you should know . . .

I gave up using alpha hydroxy and glycolic acid creams a few years ago. It wasn't that they didn't work they worked too well.

Half the time my skin looked like it was peeling or as parched as the Sahara, so I decided it was better to have a little dullness all the time than look like a prune half my life.

Besides, some dermatologists were saying these acids actually caused more aging, because they sloughed off the protective outer layer and made skin Cheap NBA Jerseys more susceptible to the sun's rays.

Nevertheless, I decided to give Reversa a try because the literature intrigued me, and because Dermtek, the parent company, is Canadian and I was feeling patriotic.

What caught my attention? Something called the "time release glyco comfort system," which is supposed to give all the benefits of glycolics without drying out the skin. The products also have a sunscreen SPF of 15.

I tried the whole line for about two weeks, and it consisted of the anti wrinkle cream with eight per cent glycolic acid; the anti wrinkle eye contour cream; the corrective night cream and the anti spot lightening cream with four per cent glycolic.

I also used the three in one gel cleanser in a pump, which so silky you barely need a drop to do your face and neck.

Conclusion? I like every one of the products, especially the anti spot cream, which brightens and evens out the skin better than anything I've tried. (The results were significant enough that people started commenting on my "improved" complexion within a week.)

The eight per cent glycolic cream is something I'm using only twice a week, since it packs a powerful punch, but generally I love the result, and a little goes a long way.

It softens crows' feet and smoker's lines, and it's portable just slip it in your purse and go. The stuff that makes is work is Cheap Basketball Jerseys called Dermaxyl Complex, a silicone component that gives a flawless finish.

You put it on before your primer and foundation, but I've been dipping into the purse and pulling out the pen several times a day. (Just don't get confused and try to write a cheque. It won't work.)

It retails for about $30, and you can find it at the Shoppers Beauty Boutique at Dougall and Cabana.

We loved the clever little press release that came with a package of Tagalongs, but the product itself might need some fine tuning.

These packets of disposable panties come in a convenient reusable zip pouch, and they make a whole lot of sense because, as the press release says, "You never know when that time of the month will take you by surprise . because on the last trip, the airline lost your luggage . because handwashing is not on your list of fun things to do . ."

These were the brainchild of Nicole Authier and Jeannie Vondjidiis, and they come in bikini or thong style, from small to extra large.

We asked a 22 year old to test a pair, and she was definitely leery. First, the sizing seemed off, so the medium fit like a large, and that didn't provide much support.

The panties are made of breathable, non woven recyclable polypropylene with a 100 per cent cotton gusset and individually wrapped.

She said they felt "funny," and while the tag indicates these are great for playing tennis, she felt they'd fall apart if she got too physical.

They stretch when pulled, and she was able to put a fingernail through, even though she has short nails.
