久しぶり!!!

It's been a long time since I wrote in this blog, hasn't it? (＃⌒∇⌒＃)ゞ

I'm just lazy, really.

For the new term I moved to Shizuoka prefecture. Right now it's really, really hot here. My air conditioner broke for a while, and I thought I was going to die.

Work begins again on September 1st. I love my students, but I love vacation time more. Too bad, eh?

Happy New Year!!!!

For the new year I went to visit a friend in Miyazaki prefecture. We took a day trip to Kagoshima on the third and went to the aquarium. The dolphins were excellent, but the whale shark had an infection on his tale. I was a little sad about that.

But....

BUT!

I got to touch a baby green sea turtle. AMAZING!!!

Winter Arrives!

The snow has finally come to my city! After spendinig a year in a city where it didn't snow, I feel more at home. It's pretty cold out, though.

Also, my tickets to the Arashi concert at Nagoya Dome arrived on Monday. Our seats are actually pretty good! I'm really excited for the show.

Under Construction: MSN-04 Sazabi

I've been really sick lately and so I haven't been able to build anythng...or sleep...or do much of anything.

A few weeks ago, I caught a cold. I took one day off of work, but then went to work the next day. Because I didn't rest, I got a sinus infection, too. Last week, I couldn't go to work for two days.

I'm better now, though. Because I'm better, I got the urge to build my Sazabi model. It's the last left in my "To Build" pile before I start work on my Master Grade Zaku II.

Usually I paint the whole model, but today I decided to just do details on the kit instead. I forgot how many boosters were on the Sazabi. Soooo many.

I was really proud of my detail work, though.

Doesn't it look AWESOME ?

But, because of all the fine details - most of which had to be painted on with a veeeeeeery small paintbrush - this was all I had finished after working for five hours:

I hope to work on it little by little during the week. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

OH! Have you been to 711? They're having a Gundam promotion. Last weekend, I spent ¥10,000 on products. (*⌒∇⌒*) It was a little embarassing.

Guncannon Accomplished!!!

A few weeks ago I finished a GM using the Gundam Markers (left). I didn't really like using the markers, so I probably won't do a full model with them again. Even now, I feel like repainting the GM.

On the right is the Guncannon I finished today. I like how the orange turned out, but I don't like the line detail I did. My hand was too shaky and my brush was too wide, even though I removed over half the bristles on the brush. I need to find a better method.

Still, they aren't too bad, right?

Yup, I'm sick

In other news, I'm sick. 。・ﾟﾟ･(≧д≦)･ﾟﾟ･｡

I didn't go to work yesterday becaues my throat was swollen and I couldn't talk. All day, I slept.

I went to work today, though, and my body ached all day. I cooked enough food to eat tonight and tomorrow, so hopefully I can rest up before having to work again on Sunday. (It's the speech contest, so I have to go.)

Here's hoping I get better! Off to bed now.  

I will not be sick

I went to karaoke last night, even though it was a school night. Today, I was soooooo tired.

Also, I feel like I'm getting sick.

My throat hurts and my sinuses are burning.

I have some medicine left from the last time I had a cold. I'm going to take some and hope this blows over.

Lazy, Lazy Girl

Two weeks ago, I finished a Zaku II Garma Custom. I really liked the way it turned out. Here it is posing with my Tangerine Custom. Right now, I'm working on doing a Guncannon. I still don't know if I'll paint it the original colors or if I'll make another customized version. We'll see.

Last weekend, I spent the entire two days resting and reading books. It was lovely. It made going into work hard today, though.

Why is it only Monday?

WIN!!!

The hotline opened today for the Nagoya Dome 嵐 concert. I put in my ballot several months ago (back in July). My friend failed to win tickets to the Fukuoka show, and we had all our hopes on the Nagoya Dome concert that I bid for.

I dialed and...

AND...

I got tickets!!!!!

I'm SO EXCITED!!!!

Now, all I have to do is wait for my tickets to come and wait for the concert date. January feels so far away.

Another model done...kinda

Yesterday I worked on a Guntank, but when I was doing the initial build one of the wheels snapped.

I didn't paint it yet, but I'm going to do some battle damage on the model first. I hope it will look okay in the end.
