There is a difference between "Yaoi","Boys Love", and "JUNE"."Yaoi" generally covers all male-male relationships. "Boys Love", shortened as "BL", has all sorts of couples and are fairly new. "JUNE" is more Tanbi, which are beautiful and decadent.
Seme and Uke are the two main aspects in a BL manga. Seme is the male role, who inserts at sex scenes. Uke is the female role, who is inserted at sex scenes.
The main features of Seme are: Thinner, smaller eyes than Uke(when Uke is something like a Yakuza, it turns around) taller and bigger those features appear more often when the type or occupation can go for both Seme or Uke, such as wearing glasses, teachers, etc. when they are students, their ages does not matter on being Seme or Uke. But Oyaji(middle aged men) are always Uke, no matter on their body size etc.
The producer Yasushi Akimoto started this idol group project in 2005.
Its concept is “the idols you can meet”.
This is a brand new concept because the word “idol” originally means “a statue that is worshipped as a god”.Therefore, the previous idol groups were produced as a “fantasy”.They only existed in the television.
But in AKB48, it’s completely different. We can meet them in AKB48 Theater in Akihabara as they perform there almost every day.We can also meet them in shake-hands event and have a short talk. And if we go to such events frequently, the members might remember us and then we can have even deeper communication.
The members of AKB48 also have tools to express themselves like blog, mail, and google+.Fans can enjoy interaction with AKB48 members through these tools.
There are also many sister-groups of AKB48.
In Japan, there is SKE48 in Sakae, Nagoya, NMB48 in Namba, Osaka, and HKT48 in Hakata, Fukuoka.
And now AKB48 group makes its first foray into the world.JKT48 in Jakarta, Indonesia is the first sister-group outside of Japan.
In Japan, there is a Manga genre called “Yuri” that depicts intimacy or love between girls. It is explicitly homoerotic and sometimes it indicates homosexual relationship.
Usually, in the Yuri of idol group, the author of Yuri is the fan of that group, and the readers are also the fans of that group.
But in SKE48, the author of Yuri is sometimes the member of SKE48 herself, and both SKE48 members and fans read that Yuri.
For example, Airi Furukawa from SKE48 wrote Yuri manga featuring Rena Matsui from SKE48 and herself.
