Methods:
6 patients with unilateral neglect and 6 control subjects were instructed to walk a short distance to a doorway.
半側無視を伴う6人の患者と6個の規制対象に、短距離を戸口まで歩かせるよう指示した．
The position of the top of their head in relation to a scale positioned above the door was measured.

This was repeated 10times for each subjects. In one-half of these tests, the subjects were instructed to clench and unclench their left hand while walking.

Outcomes:
All participants with neglect deviated to the right of centre as measured by their position in the doorway.

Analysis of variance demonstrated deviation to the right was greater in the neglect (no hand movement) condition than in other conditions.

Hand movement resulted in significantly less deviation toward the right in neglect patients when compared to no hand movements (p=0.03).

The neglect hand movement condition did not differ significantly from control conditions.
