Most companies are looking for Microsoft certified engineers to solve their Microsoft server issues. Getting certified is the best thing you can do for your career. I know as a business owner I look for a candidates certification on their resume. I also look for their experiences and what they list as their skills. Then I ask them questions that let me know if they are telling the truth on their resume.
Getting certified does not mean you have the experience to think on your feet. During a critical server failure, Los Angeles clients put pressure on your to resolve their issues fast. Having a certification gives you ideas and resources to turn to in case of such an event.
If you continue to maintain your Microsoft certification you will increase your worth as a Microsoft certified engineer and will reduce the pressure on you as an engineer to find additional resources to solve the computer networking issues that will find their way to you. If you continue to pro-active your skills at home on a small computer network that you have built then you will not need to pro-active in the field.
Any paragraphsDisplay your Microsoft certification proudly on your resume. Be sure to list the specific areas that you have excelled. Also list if you are planning to take further education on the next version of Microsoft server products. If you gain knowledge in a particular Microsoft area be sure to list this as well.
