    バックグラウンド

    2021年9月9日の総会決定75/578に従い、持続可能な開発目標14の実施を支援する国連会議:持続可能な開発のために海洋、海洋、海洋資源を保護し、持続可能な方法で使用する( 2022年国連海洋会議)が予定されています。 2022年6月27日から7月1日までポルトガルのリスボンで開催されます。

     

    会議の全体的なテーマは、「目標14の実施のための科学と革新に基づく海洋行動の拡大:棚卸し、パートナーシップ、解決策」です。

     

    2022年の国連海洋会議( A / RES / 73/292 )のモダリティ決議は、政府、国連システム、政府間組織、国際金融機関、その他の関心のある国際機関、非政府機関、市民社会組織、学術機関、科学界、民間部門、慈善団体、およびその他の関係者は、目標14の実施に関連する課題と機会、およびそれに向けて取られた行動を評価します。

     

    オンライン相談:2022年の国連海洋会議コンセプトペーパーへの更新された入力

    COVID-19のパンデミックによってもたらされた進化する状況と新たな課題を考慮に入れて、利害関係者は現在、最新のCOVID関連データと状況の分析で会議の8つのインタラクティブな対話のコンセプトペーパーを更新するためのインプットを提供するよう招待されています。トレンド、課題、機会、新しいパートナーシップの可能性のある分野、およびSDG14の実装を進めるための推奨事項。

     

    これに関連して、非政府組織、非政府組織、市民社会組織、学術機関、科学界、民間部門、慈善団体、その他の関係者から意見を収集するために、グローバルなオンライン利害関係者協議が設立されました。

     

    2022年の国連海洋会議の8つのインタラクティブな対話のテーマは次のとおりです。

    1. 海洋汚染への取り組み;
    2. 海洋および沿岸の生態系の管理、保護、保全、および回復。
    3. 海洋の酸性化、脱酸素化、海洋の温暖化を最小限に抑え、対処する。
    4. 漁業を持続可能にし、小規模の零細漁業者が海洋資源や市場にアクセスできるようにする。
    5. 特に小島嶼開発途上国および後発開発途上国のために、持続可能な海洋ベースの経済を促進および強化する。
    6. 科学的知識を増やし、研究能力を開発し、海洋技術を移転する。
    7. 国連海洋法条約に反映されているように、国際法を実施することにより、海洋とその資源の保全と持続可能な利用を強化する。と
    8. 2030アジェンダの実施に向けて、持続可能な開発目標14と他の目標の間の相互関係を活用する。
     
     

    Contribute your inputs to the concept papers of the interactive dialogues for the 2022 UN Ocean Conference!

    Background

    Pursuant to General Assembly decision 75/578 of 9 September 2021, the United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development is scheduled to be held from 27 June to 1 July 2022, in Lisbon, Portugal. The overall theme of the Conference is: “Scaling up ocean action based on science and innovation for the implementation of Goal 14: stocktaking, partnerships and solutions”. 

    The modalities resolution for the 2022 UN Ocean Conference (A/RES/73/292) calls for the involvement of all relevant stakeholders bringing together Governments, the United Nations system, intergovernmental organizations, international financial institutions, other interested international bodies, non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, academic institutions, the scientific community, the private sector, philanthropic organizations and other actors to assess challenges and opportunities relating to, as well as actions taken towards, the implementation of Goal 14. 

    The programme of the 2022 UN Ocean Conference will include eight interactive dialogues which will be collaborative and multi-stakeholder in nature and will focus on recommendations to support the implementation of Goal 14, including through strengthened cooperation, building on existing successful partnerships and stimulating innovative and concrete new ones, taking into account the theme of the Conference.

    In early 2020, stakeholders were invited to contribute inputs on elements for the 2022 UN Ocean Conference declaration as well as the themes for the interactive dialogues for the 2022 UN Ocean Conference. Additionally, stakeholders were also invited to provide inputs to the concept papers on each of the themes of the interactive dialogues in early 2020.     UPDATE TO CONCEPT PAPERS FOR THE INTERACTIVE DIALOGUES


    Taking into account the evolving landscape and new challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, stakeholders are now invited to contribute inputs to update the concept papers of the eight interactive dialogues of the Conference, with latest COVID-related data and analysis in the status and trends, challenges and opportunities, possible areas for new partnerships as well as recommendations on advancing implementation of SDG14. Stakeholders are invited to provide inputs on each of the themes of the interactive dialogues.

    In this regard, a global online stakeholder consultation is being set up to request inputs from non-governmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations, academic institutions, the scientific community, the private sector, philanthropic organizations and other actors. 

    The themes of the eight interactive dialogues of the 2022 UN Ocean Conference are: 

    1. Addressing marine pollution;  
    1. Managing, protecting, conserving and restoring marine and coastal ecosystems;  
    1. Minimizing and addressing ocean acidification, deoxygenation and ocean warming;  
    2. Making fisheries sustainable and providing access for small-scale artisanal fishers to marine resources and markets;  
    1. Promoting and strengthening sustainable ocean-based economies, in particular for small island developing States and least developed countries;   
    1. Increasing scientific knowledge and developing research capacity and transfer of marine technology;  
    1. Enhancing the conservation and sustainable use of oceans and their resources by implementing international law, as reflected in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea; and  
    1. Leveraging interlinkages between Sustainable Development Goal 14 and other Goals towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

    The online consultation is open to all stakeholders through the dedicated online forms below, which are reflecting the themes of the interactive dialogues.
